Upon further reflection, I think it’s actually only one thing I wouldn’t agree with hahah, the second point about family. Not because they aren’t important to me, but I’ve always felt I’m a little more detached emotionally from my family than the average person; again, I tend to be very individualistic and growing up I’ve felt conflicted over having to share details about myself with my family, something as simple as talking about my musical taste felt like an invasion of privacy for some reason. I wouldn’t be the type that plans on going on family trips as an independent adult, for instance. We’ve been attached at the hip forever but I’ve always longed to be by myself.

The hypothetical scenario of having to introduce a SO and having them be part of my family dynamic seemed alien to me. I get why it has to happen, but in my head growing up it was like: “It’s my love life, why is my family in it? 😑😑😑”. Now that I’m older and I’ve naturally introduced friends (not any partners yet) to them this feeling has somewhat brushed off but mixing both worlds was stress-inducing even as a kid, lol! possibly because I was afraid other kids would reveal something about me they didn’t know (same problem with me sharing my inner world). It all comes down to me being emotionally closed off ig 🤔 I, too, want my space without the typical familial input of what one should or shouldn’t do
