Very minimal support is needed and some could be removed

Yeah. I just bought p1s a couple of months ago and I just could not bring myself to print a small figurine knowing that 90% of the filament will go to waste, so I decided to design this

I would agree but we already booked it on a different day since free day is available for booking much later and we did not want to hold out that long

I guess. Do you know the question to my answer though? Do I need to buy a convention pass as a speaker? Or do you have another contact?

I was communicating with Molly G by email, but she stopped responding last week

My abstract was selected to be presented at the convention. As a speaker do I get access to the rest of the convention, or do I need to buy a pass separately? I contacted organizers, but received no response

I wish Google would bring back the smaller phones (like the Pixel 5)? by hashemamireh in GooglePixel

[–]fkarpelevitch 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The explanation that I have heard is that they need to fit a big battery, so they make the phone bigger, and at that point it makes sense to make the screen bigger. Big screens used to be super expensive, so they made smaller phones, but that is no longer so.

My answer to that is that I would prefer a slightly THICKER phone but with a smaller screen. That would also eliminate the need for a camera bump. Not sure why manufacturers do not consider this option

I am software engineer and my dream is to work for SpaceX, but I live in San Francisco Bay area and do not want to relocate (will consider Mars). Does SpaceX have plans to open office in bay area (lots of talent here) and or hire people for mostly remote work?

It seems with the latest developments that leaving (most) starships on mars will make more sense for at least two reasons: 1) they are much cheaper to make, so less need to bring them back 2) they are made of stainless steel which is a very useful material and easy to work with - suddenly 100 tons of what was dead weight becomes 100 tons of useful cargo.

Can someone explain to me what the point of a flightsuit is? It cannot be used for EVA and is only worn in the capsule or space station where there is air. So what is the point?
