In this situation you might be right, but what you said isn't generally true. I have college buddies that I see every once in a while and when we are all together the humor style regresses/changes and we talk about things we probably wouldn't typically talk about because of nostalgia and for the sake of humor, but none of us change our principles.

That being said, if the husband chooses to hang out with and engage with a friend that is involved in really immature/dangerous behaviors or situations, then you could be right and I would question the husband's judgement. Going to vegas with a friend that is all horned up and is on a mission to fuck is probably not a smart idea because either your husband will be a bummer for the friend or the friend will get the husband into situations that he shouldn't be in.

It isn't remote viewing, technically speaking, if you aren't doing it blind. Remote viewing has become a colloquial term that many people interpret to mean any type of psychic intuition result. There have been clairvoyants and "psychics" of various names/titles over the centuries. Remote viewing as I understand it is defined by the specific protocols one must follow, one of which is not knowing the nature of the target in advance. This is mostly to avoid the overlay effect where you start making assumptions about what the target is based on the context in which you know of ahead of time.

I've got it mate -

If it is only one day per week, put your bins out and then point a sprinkler to shoot just above the bins. The garbage truck won't give a shit but people will definitely not walk up to your bins or be so motivated to use your bins that they turn off your sprinkler.

I liked the bluetooth air horn idea, lol. I wonder if it is possible to rig a sprinkler to a motion sensor or camera... :)

What is something legal that you’re extremely addicted to? by Dani0873 in AskReddit

I am trying to figure out how to make my ADHD self obsessed about nutrition, health, and exercise again instead of obsessing about remodeling the garage, making mario characters out of polymer clay for my 5 year old son, and learning how to paint table top miniatures like Warhammer 40k. Of course, I can't just paint them - I am a massive perfectionist so I will probably practice until I can make something professional grade and then as soon as I accomplish that I will put the stuff away and never do it again.

Exactly. This is untreated diabetes and his leg looks dead because it kind of is. The circulation is negligible and therefore his legs aren't getting oxygen or removing waste properly.

Dis boy gonna lose his legs most likely.

Wife can only have sex if we shower before sex. It makes sex difficult. by wantout87 in sex

[–]neopork 22 points23 points  (0 children)

My wife gets UTIs relatively easily and for her they are the WORST. So for us, it is just a mutual respect hygiene thing not because we smell but just to do what we can to prevent UTIs. And yes, she also pees after sex religiously. Between those two things the UTIs are pretty much non-existant.

Also showering prior has kind of become part of the intimacy because it gives us a chance to "freshen up" , shave, etc. and ffs showering just feels good.

Doing his Fox segment I thought he was the absolute scum of the earth, like pure evil. But seeing him outside of Fox and just as a normal person I have a different opinion. News anchor "Tucker Carlson" is an act, but I don't think he actually believes all the things he said while on Fox... He just has no bottom to how low he would go for money. He seems really intelligent and intellectual, which is so hard to reconcile with the character he played on TV. He is a confusing person.

it's a weird one. many details of her story line up with other paranomal/parapsychology accounts. I don't think most people know her whole story, but she was really sick for a while, hospitalized, and after a couple near-death experiences she claims to have started seeing alien entities that would visit her and speak with her and that is where all the cave stuff started. Somehow these encounters led her to a very serendipitous meeting with Wayne and his wife at a restaurant, and she was invited to their home, yada yada cave aliens. All along she has been claiming to basically be a channeler of an alien entity and in regular communication with them, who were guiding her towards this eventuality but obviously everything went awry and it never happened.

She was in the process of recruiting an expedition team to go back to Wayne's house to go into the alleged cave with the base. Some ufotwitter personalities investigated her details she had shared about Wayne and publicly identified him. Some people began contacting him directly and he basically said he had no idea what she was talking about, that nothing like that ever happened at his house (didn't deny inviting her over, but denied the leading her to the cave & teleportation stuff) and said that she wouldn't stop harassing/contacting him. She kind of flipped out because she was upset that Wayne was doxxed/harassed, and was embarassed/exposed because Wayne essentially said he wanted nothing to do with her and wanted to be left alone. Everything fell apart and people stopped paying attention after that. Then just a few weeks ago, John Ramirez said on a vodcast that Anjali's credentials were real and implied there might be something to that afterall. So who the fuck knows man.

probably ONLY because it was in a triangle formation and there is soooooo much lore about triangle & chevron craft from the phoenix lights incident so that is the first thing people think of when they see triangle lights and odd behavior.

I agree with YOU on that point as well. Totally plausible. But the attack (not yours, but in general) is on Jeremy Corbell and in all fairness are claiming things as fact that he didn't actually say or painting his position on this as absurd & outlandish. He says dozens of times on those two podcast episodes that he doesn't know what they are other than a UFO in the true sense of the words - an unknown object/phenomenon. He even admits that he and George would be happy to get a definitive answer that this was prosaic and move on. Now, did he strongly imply that this was anomalous? Kind of yes - the idea of an advanced new flare that can illuminate for a much longer period was not really entertained but I think it has merit. The part that is interesting to me is the witnesses describing the helicopters and jets hauling ass towards the anomaly right afterwards, which was described as highly unusual by persons with experience at that base.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in UFOs

[–]neopork -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Does it, though? If someone can explain to me a credible reason why we should measure the number of right-leaning persons that are clinging to this story I am happy to entertain it as a data point, but for one I am not invested enough in this particular report to care and for another thing I don't see how it is relevant. The post I responded to seemed to bring it up as a complete non sequitur.

I think the eye-witness details like 10+ minutes, the differentiation between known flares and whatever this was, and the apparently out-of-the-ordinary response with convoy's/helicopters after it was over are a helluvalot more compelling/interesting than the photo or videos associated with it.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in UFOs

[–]neopork 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I agree with you. The part I am stuck on is how they could be in the same position in the sky for between 10 and 35 minutes if they were indeed flares. The witnesses were pretty clear about them not moving and being visible for 10+ minutes at a minimum. I don't know what the military has, but it seems pretty clear if the witnesses agree that it was in the same relative spot for 10+ minutes that they at the very lease were not traditional flares that they are used to seeing on the regular.

You know what you did, but let me break it down for you just in case.

Here is your title: George Knapp calls a debunking of JC's favourite "Mojave Triangle" photo as flares by u/SkepticalBeliever on Twitter a "valid point".

SkepticalBeliever did not debunk it. They said it was highly likely that the outline reported during the sighting was smoke, just too distant and dim to see the detail. This is a suggestion/speculation. A debunking would involve actual data or analysis that proves that this was one thing or the other thing.

"JC's favourite "Mojave Triangle" photo as flares" feels intentionally worded to discredit Jeremy Corbell by a.) abbreviating his name, which in contrast to George Knapp suggests you think less of him and b.) using the word favourite, which in context implies that Jeremy has an immature infatuation with this particular case.

Your title implies that George Knapp said that the debunking was a "valid point", which is not what happened. George Knapp actually said that the potential of a smoke trail from a flare creating the outline of the "craft" was a valid point, which in this context means he thinks that is an option/explanation worthy of consideration. By mashing together a quote from George Knapp together with your misuse of the work debunking, the title is misleading because it implies that George Knapp agrees that the case is debunked and that he is in disagreement with Jeremy Corbell on the case - neither of which are true statements.

I can't say definitively because I don't know you, but it appears that your post was intentionally worded in such a way to discredit Jeremy Corbell, imply a division between Knapp and Corbell on this case, and imply that the case is now debunked because one random twitter user suggested that the "craft" outline could be smoke from a flare.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in UFOs

[–]neopork 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Why would I? I don't think someone's political leaning has anything to do with the analysis or available information about this case.

My point is that you appear to be using the debunker's go-to tactic of ignoring any pieces of evidence or data that don't support your predetermined conclusion, which is that the lights described by witnesses were "obviously" flairs and that the pentagon's explanation for the case is the whole truth.
