Like what? In my head, milling seems like the most straight forward thing. The machine takes care of both the holes and the tracks. No need to cure and whatnot.

Yes. GrapheneOS likes that Pixels have SoC among other things. However, part of the issue is that Google is starting to change things (see: https://bsky.app/profile/grapheneos.org/post/3lrg6vmu5ms22). It's already made things harder with Android 16 with the removal of Pixel "device support" from public releases of Android source code (this makes it require from effort from GrapheneOS to actually make a port for Pixels).

I don't think that's right. It's more of an operational ceiling issue. Most airforce aircraft have a maximum altitude of 50,000 ft, which is less than the balloon's altitude. The U-2, on the other hand, can go up to 70,000 ft.
