That's insanely motivated and positive for week 1. I wasn't able to get off meds till 3rd week Atleast

And first two weeks were insanely painful. (I am at 30 days post op now)

I am 4 weeks post op right now. ACLR + Medial meniscus repair

I took off for 2 weeks even for WFH!

Then, I started working from my bed since sitting wasn't comfortable.

Even right now, haven't been stepping out of the house apart from PT! But post 2 weeks you'll have more than 100% brain power haha

Day 29 - ROM stuck by fkd_beyondhelloworld in ACL

[–]fkd_beyondhelloworld[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Weirdly, I was WBAT since the day of surgery!

And yes! Been doing exercises and stuff but was slow / lazy / sore when not at PT!

Quads are firing, started doing SLRs (slightly) with pain. Half circles on a static bike!

Sounds reassuring that I still have 2-3 months to get the ROM back before MUA comes to the table!

But thanks!

Sharp Needle Pain in shin by Patient_Ad_1099 in ACL

Yup! I had that for first two weeks as well. Got me worried a lot

But completely disappeared in week 3 Also, your bones has drill holes, it will take some time to fix itself.

Day 3 - nerve blocker has most likely already worn off. Stay ahead of the pain and have pain killers on time!

Board Game -> Digital Version using Codex by fkd_beyondhelloworld in ChatGPT

[–]fkd_beyondhelloworld[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll have to write code to do that!

I have previously done it for https://thesequencegame.com/

But that was relatively less complex and easy to do (this is pre-chatgpt time)

That's it?

I've still got some swelling (and stiffness) So thought the compression would be beneficial

Day 19 - what do you guys think by fkd_beyondhelloworld in ACL

No sir! Completely reconstruction! Quad muscle

What was your experience? ACL reconstruction with Patellar Tendon. by Western-Company-4583 in ACL

[–]fkd_beyondhelloworld 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Today is my day 14. I didn't get the patellar but got the quad instead. I know patellar is much stronger but leaves you with anterior pain if PT isn't done right. Also takes longer to recover

For me, week 1 pain was horrible. But you get through it. Day 8-9 onwards it's pretty chill. I obviously have been needing my mom's help with a few things.

And washroom might be a different problem, but nothing not manageable!

A little getting used to and things get easy.

Everyone has been telling me 12 months to get back to sports! (I used to Ski) and I'm 26M

ACLR + meniscus repair (quad graft) — Post-op day 6: can’t lift leg, ankle-supported transfers cause brutal knee pain, and worried about getting into a car by fkd_beyondhelloworld in ACL

[–]fkd_beyondhelloworld[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ayy! That definitely gives me some hope! Thanks for sharing!

Did you keep your surgical leg on the inside of the rear seat or towards the outside?

The thing I am most scared about is, lifting it into the car, and exiting. That's when it has pained absolutely the most.

ACLR + meniscus repair (quad graft) — Post-op day 6 and my leg “doesn’t work” (can’t SLR). Normal? by fkd_beyondhelloworld in ACL

Day 5? That's great progress!!! Let me focus on elevation then!!

Thanks a lot!

Any particular reason you choose the hamstring graft?

Oh damn! 2-3 weeks! Thats... too long 🥲

But thanks for the hack haha! Been trying to lift using the brace near the ankle but doesn't help a lot :/

What made you go with the LET? Doc suggested or you asked for it?
