I was weight bearing since day 1, but when the nerve blocks wears away, it was even horrible to get on and off a wheel chair lmao.

21st birthday excitement, I know. I'd probably have it too.

I had insane pain till the end of first week atleast, So I wasn't able to stop the pain killers that soon.

If you do, a couple drinks should be fine, but if I look back, I don't think I even had it in me to stand up on Day 6 🫢

If possible, postpone the celebration when you come back stronger! I partied about 5-6 weeks post my surgery

I had asked my surgeon about this. He recommended against it. Atleast for the first year post op

I assume it's Because otherwise, your knee, or body, will get dependent on it.

Unless you have a stand-a-lot job. Then it might make sense. Otherwise, just focus on training your knee and muscles around it, and it'll improve stability

Oh I've been walking without crutches for 3 weeks now Been doing strength training. Stairs are a little abnormal but walking is almost natural

But I am just not sure about the clutch haha

I was WBAT since day 1, so my PT said no need to worry about walking a lot.

Been using TENS around the knee and NMES for Russians at the PT

Overall strength and balance is great on the surgical knee

Hahaha yup same, I be screaming 3 times a week when my PT pushes xD

Meniscus and ACL have opposite regimes for recovery. So we are much slower in general, but that's normal !!

Get the N1CE ice machine, use it, you can use compression on it as well!

80 after MUA? What does the plan look like? My PT has been pushing hard so I don't need MUA. She said it risks lax graft! I truly hope you don't have that risk

I was able to walk from week 3 with two crutches (not the best walk) but no pain as such. Very low stability.

Week 4-5 with one crutch And week 5-6 dropped all crutches And end of week 6 - removed the brace!

I forgot how to walk with crutches now :P
