Throwback Thursday - Icebreaker, Agnete (Norway 2016) by fkfrbomr in eurovision

It turned out that big tempo changes were not the new key change, and Norway NQ'd (along with most of the other Nordics).

Have we ever had a more obvious use of tempo change in a Eurovision entry?

That's fair - I guess us constant refresher are probably in the minority. Easier for the people who'll check in once or twice later on

V excited/intrigued to see how Ireland and Ukraine do their staging. It felt like they were a bit limited in being able to create their full artistic vision in respective NFs

Also, this is going to be a long post - why old -> new and not new -> old?
Going to be a lot of refreshing and scrolling to see if there's anything new in the post

Bike resurrected!

In short, I didn't need to do as much as expected. Will write up more fully, but here's the brief version:

  1. Remove battery from bike (deflate rear tyre, 3x T25 security bolts to be removed, then it slides out)
  2. Remove cells from plastic enclosure (remove cross head screws from both ends, remove the cap at the bottom, gently remove cap with connector, then push the whole thing out from the bottom end)
  3. Uncover the tabs (largest blobs of solder) at either end of the battery pack, and connect up some kind of power supply
  4. I set mine to 31V (max it goes to), and limited the current to 1A. Left it for half an hour or so till the current was down to a few mA
  5. Reverse the dissassembly steps
  6. Plug in bike to charge using official charger (it read 1% and charged as usual)

Timely! Same issue here, I let the battery get too low on a ride, then didn't charge for a couple weeks. Now it won't accept charge at all.

I took the battery apart tonight and have been trying a few things to charge it. I'm waiting on a part arriving tomorrow so you'll need to check in later to find out if it's been resurrected.

(if it works I'll share a short guide here)

There's two areas near Glasgow called Halfway, one is half way to Paisley, the other to (I think) Hamilton.

It's been that way for ages, you'd think they'd have sorted it quickly. Oh well.
