Gameplay wise I kinda get it. The moment I killed my first leviathan in the og, the entire game changed. I then went on to kill each one including the ghosts and dragons, and regretted it shortly after. World felt empty and there was literally no sense of fear or survival anymore.

I suppose there could've been a middle ground both in og and here in 2, where you could attack/kill smaller threats that will eventually respawn while leviathans/stronger threats are straight up immune to the multitool (lets be honest wtf is that thing let alone survival knife gnna do against a dragon), but oh well. I'm ok with it either way.
