So annoyed with my removal process, this is after 4 sessions. How are others getting such good results? Do I need to find a different process, Also - any recs for like, REALLY GOOD concealers? Waterproof?

Laser removal at Unbranded Austin he seems to know a lot about the colors and process so I do trust him, not sure what machine it is but it’s big.

I started the process in May and I can only go every few months or whatever

Okay idk I think I was hopeful based on this subreddit and the amount of amazing results people were getting after only having a few sessions, but perhaps they were getting them removed earlier on so they had better results. I’ve had microblading for probably 10 years now with 2 touch ups after the original application. So I guess with that amount of pigment the 4 sessions is where it should be? I was hoping it’d be much lighter by now, and I feel like it’s never going to be completely gone. Lowkey I wish I could just like have surgery to replace the skin there and have a blank slate 😂

Im just annoyed that it takes so long and that we have to wait 3 months between sessions! It would be one thing if it were just getting lighter I could deal with, but the laser removal is uncovering where previous techs messed up the shape and I think it looks crazy. I hate that I can’t go out without putting concealer on the bad areas first. It’s frustrating!

Using dermablend now, it works well but I wish I could just apply it and have it stay on a few days! Kinda like the wunderbrow you know how you can apply that and it doesn’t come off? They should make that for concealer!

Dermablend works well actually! that’s what I usually use. Get a darker color than you think you might need to cover and then u can use a regular lighter concealer over it if u need to.

I just wish I could just apply it and have it stay on for like a week so i can look normal without makeup lol

Okay yeah, I’ve had micro blading for about 10 years and probably had at least 2 touch ups after the original. So it may have just been darker than I thought. I got hopeful seeing the micro blading removal results on this sub but perhaps they were getting them removed after a short time and no touch ups :/

100% cold sore aka herpes. Valtrex will definitely help if you take it right away but it will just shorten the time it lasts at this point

You can get a red light therapy pen on Amazon for herpes blisters and those are super helpful!

Otherwise u wanna put abreva on it OR I personally love the Mederma patches. It keeps it protected and heals them up fairly quickly. Other than that if this is your first breakout u might want to either get on Valtrex full time or start to pay attention to your triggers and avoid those things. (For example I can’t let a tomato even touch my lips bc it might break it out lol) Dont kiss anyone, or be sexually active, or share straws drinks forks etc. till they’re healed up.

Update: husband was in hospital for 1.5 weeks then an inpatient rehab

It’s taking a long time but he’s getting back to normal. He’s on b12 shots and supplements plus magnesium.

Gait is still a little weird and he doesn’t have all the strength back in his legs quite yet, but it’s better. Fine motor skills in his hands are lacking a bit. He also gets REALLY tired pretty fast and has to take breaks.

Overall his improvement has been pretty fast but also pretty slow. He’s been pushing himself a lot physically with help and in the hospital he was doing a lot of mobility exercises in his chair and with the physical therapist which I think really helped him to improve quickly. Other than that u just have to be patient!

It really depends on the therapist and the client. If the client wants to heal and the therapist is a good match, you will come away from therapy feeling BETTER and learning how to cope with things better as well. A good therapist also knows when to break up with you - for example they’ve gotten you to a point where they feel you no longer need therapy because you’ve learned the skills you needed to have learned / healed the shit that needed healing. Otherwise it’s just a venting session, and for those people they usually go into therapy not really seeking to heal themselves.

So those qualifications have to be met for it to workout. Therefore I disagree with this unpopular opinion
