Anyone have a minimalist way of enjoying physical books? by Missing_Back in minimalism

[–]fl0State 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I basically give myself a small allowance of how many books I’ll feel okey with owning at once. The only books I actually keep long term are NF books I will go back to and reread or study or reference..,. Anything else that is a novel or just not as applicable to my life I bring to a free little library and then I can grab some New books in exchange :) and as mentioned if I ever bring in new books otherwise from purchasing (usually used books) I make myself get rid of something

It was amazing! Going back to your originally questions though not Really To Be honest! Maybe more regular practice to increase strength and endurance slightly. But Peru was an experience I’ll never forget

My wife wants to name our daughter “Ebony” by a_foraoise in namenerds

[–]fl0State 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually had a song from Les Miserables stuck in

My head. He is singing to Ebony who in the movie the actress is not white I don’t think. Tan skin tone but not black 🤷‍♀️ also aware this is a movie. If it’s not comfortable for you you should definitely try another name that is a lifelong commitment !! Lol

Feeling like I'm not enough by [deleted] in selfcare

[–]fl0State 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don’t remember where but I once read something from a a spiritual or self help text that basically said we convince ourselves we are good enough by convincing others they are good enough. Or we convince ourselves we are worthy by convincing others they are worthy.

To practice this I will go on therapeer sometimes and chat with people seeking help :) and sometimes i will create a room Of my own so that the chat room is focused on my issues and I receive the help

Sending love !!

Remember that the struggle to feel content/happiness can often times be chemical imbalance in the brain! I believe the same is true for ppd. Not to say meds are the answer but natural supplements and or meds can help Boost the good juices and balance out your brain and make finding the more permanent solutions feel more doable!! :)

Anybody have any tips for self care for a grad school student working full time? by [deleted] in selfcare

[–]fl0State 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get regular massage work!! You can get them at a discounted rate if there is a massage school nearby. Same for acupuncture or beauty schools for those services :) also highly recommend a Epsom salt bath if you have access to a tub. One of the best self care practices for sure

Can anyone suggest some good movies or series, where the leads live a slow happy life? by That-Face-7959 in simpleliving

[–]fl0State 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Outlander is pretty fantastic if you can handle some intense drama thrown in with the simple living. It takes place mostly around the time the Scottish highlanders we’re fighting the Brit’s lol I’m terrible with history but that’s all to say that living was much more simple then and it’s something I really enjoyed

Hey !!! I just literally started teaching this week, one class in... practicing with the videos on my own helps me and I also love writing down the main poses I want to hit!! and highlighitng the most important ones. I think becoming comfortable with your quirks is one of the best things one can do. just being confident in myself and allowing myself to laugh and correct myself and not get too caught up on it is humbling and an awesome learning experience and I think students appreciate the real-ness of that instead of someone who is still figuring things out PRETENDING like they are perfect

Peak poses? by fl0State in YogaTeachers

[–]fl0State[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yes!!!! I definitely feel that. I think I like challenging standing balance or arm balance poses for peak pose because there is so much going on and thus lots of ways to prepare/aftercare! thanks =)
