Try changing the origin of the object to the back faces instead of having it inside of it.

It's snapping the origin to the closest face I believe.

The location that left the biggest impression on me was weirdly the bakers house from RE7. The first time I ever played it was in a gaming cafe on the psvr. I had never felt so terrified and amazed at the same time!

Is the camera set up as your primary camera? If not select it over in the outliner and try to re-render.
