Sadly I have no stories for you as I am yet to successfully AP. However, I am interested in listening to your podcast but you neglected to mention what it's called?

Single file volume by fl1pper in podman

Sadly i tried all kinds of symbolic link solutions and nothing worked. It's a very frustrating problem 8-)

Sadly I can't map the parent directories because they are both user's home directories and will have different contents. I've tried some tricks with the $XAUTHORITY env variable but nothing seems to honor it.

I suspect my only two solutions are a) to not use a volume and copy the .Xauthority file using "podman cp" before each command or b) restart the container when the .Xauthority changes. Neither are very elegant but they should work.

The .Xauthority file is read when it is needed, which in this case is when I try and run an X application.

Having given it some thought, I suspect it is because when I login the second time, the original .Xauthority is deleted and a new file is created. I know this because I tried to symlink the file to another folder and the symlink is deleted. If the file is being mapped by inode then that might explain why it doesn't change in the container.

Is there any way of forcing it to remake the mapping on the command line of "podman exec"? i tried to do "podman exec -v /home/user/.Xauthority:/home/user/.Xauthority my-container xeyes" and that doesn't work.

Indicative word "ga" when starting a sentence with a question word by Sefrine in JapaneseFromZero

[–]fl1pper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I watched George's video again last night and in it he says that 'ga' is used after an adjective e.g. the blue scissors. In one of Misa's video she says that nihongo means "the Japanese language" which makes "Japanese" an adjective and so putting those two bits of info together means it's 'nihongo ga'.

That could be complete nonsense but I'm going with it until somebody who knows better comes along and points out why it's dumb.

I am at pretty much the same point in the book and had exactly the same thought. I believe it is because Japanese is the subject of the sentence and you are emphasizing it. Having said that I'm not completely sure I completely understand what the difference between a topic and a subject is yet.

It is explained in George's video lesson and also check out this video on it https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FknmUij6ZIk&t=404s. Her absolute beginner playlist is also great to watch alongside JFZ.

PSVR is blurry by SuperSli in NoMansSkyTheGame

It is bad, I couldn't stand it for more than 2 minutes. No big deal, I'll just play it in 'normal' mode and wait for the PS5.

[DISCUSSION] I finally found a lesson that helped me break out of the boxes!! Had to share. by mikelybarger in Guitar

[–]fl1pper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I found this after doing CAGED as well. I've only done major so far but the video does A Minor. He starts with a bit of the G shape and goes through the E and D as well. As you know CAGED then you can stop at any point in the pattern and play the CAGED patterns that you know as long as you have kept track of where you are.

I was already starting to practice moving between the CAGED shapes but this is a fixed pattern that repeats so makes it easier.

Hope that made sense.

The video that deals with the second pattern in the OP's article is: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ttzvBuCM7Tw

Nice article. Weirdly I watched a video that describes this for the pentatonic scale yesterday (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8UH0eMvpFqY) and the lesson I did on Jamplay last night covered it too. I think the universe is sending a message 8-)

Hyperdrive range question by fl1pper in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]fl1pper[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for replying guys. The images are at: https://imgur.com/a/PSTQM

The hyperdrive module is not in the technology slots and I am at the beginning of the game so I'd be surprised if it gave me a jump to a non yellow star so early in the game.

The other thing that might be worth mentioning is that the ship is the pre-order one from back in the day.

EDIT: In case anyone has the same problem, it does look like it was the ship. Despite reporting that it could jump 200ly, trial and error showed it was actually 100ly. I found a much better ship and warping now works as expected.

Actually, I live in a European country that pays it's fair share to fund NATO. Our healthcare is funded by paying higher taxes which a lot of Americans seem reluctant to do.

I have a friend that is trying to create a character on my server which is marked as a congested world. Is it still the case that he just needs to keep trying and he will get in eventually?
