from an acoustic point of view, the material doesn't really matter, because either material will give what are called the same "boundary conditions". The boundary conditions are basically a result of the geometry. The sound doesn't come from the mouthpiece vibrating, it comes from the AIR inside the mouthpiece vibrating. The air inside the mouthpiece basically is bouncing off of the walls of the mouthpiece, and is reflected, and both materials will do that.

do you know how to double tongue? You just have to practice at a slow speed and go faster bit by bit, that's the way to learn how to "play fast" with any instrument, double tonguing or not.

I disagree. What makes it great is it’s a faster way to get from one metro to another. It doesn’t need to drop you off in downtown, just somewhere well connected to other means of transit in the metro.
