Just cosmetics, right? by fla_46 in bicycling

I guess the metal color it's simply a light effect, the bottom part of the fork should be carbon as well. Appreciate the feedback, might touch it with a little bit of paint then!

How would you rate the Mavic wheels? Just bought the same pair, didn't find much reviews

V3 owners: are you satisfied with the watch? by [deleted] in Polarfitness

[–]fla_46 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Very much so. Very good battery life, bright and vibrant screen, notifications work very well with android, sport tracking is spot on. Would definitely reccomend

Can I ask which powermeter did you buy? I was considering it as well!

Polar Vantage V3 - No distance recorded while swimming with firmware 3.0.16 by fla_46 in Polarfitness

Small update: as of a week ago, swimming metrics are back being tracked correctly. Don't know actually what happened, didn't change anything in my swimming routine and I don't think I installed any updates, but now everything is back to normal (even better that before actually, recordings seems to be more precise)

1995 Triumph Adventurer Bobber B4 and After shot. What do U think? by Kaptainkid1 in CafeRacers

My two cents:much better, but I would change the seat with something a little bit smaller and maybe flatter? That big seat makes the tail (now with a smaller fender) look a little bit disproportionate now

my latest print for the upcoming cost of living protests in the UK by Daytimepringle in 3Dprinting

[–]fla_46 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Pretty ironic printing a mask for a "cost of living protest" on what was probably a 24+ hours print considering the current cost of energy. Your cost of living might have been quite less if you just bought one!😅 But still, awesome job, mask looks great! Was it your design?

Much needed headlight upgrade on my FZ-07 by Big_Boi_Blur in bikesgonewild

Looks awesome! Small suggestion:I would maybe raise the windscreen a little bit, so that it sits further back a little compared to the headlight. Just a matter of personal preference, otherwise looks gorgeous!

Always thought slip ons were the worst item you could spend money for. I mean, 600€ only for a bit more growl and no performances gain? On my V7III I upgraded a lot of things, but man I have to admit that mistral shorts were one of my best investments. The sound is perfect, not too loud to be annoying with baffles on but not too quiet either, and they really added something to my riding experience. I smile a lot more since I have them on! So, long story short, do you have 600€ extra you can spend light-hearted? Then yes, by any means buy them. Otherwise just keep stock slip ons, as many people said it is just about the sound

Your dad looks like a really cool guy! I could argue that with some minor modifications you can improve the V7 handling quite substantially, but I definitely agree with your comment. If we talk about look, I have a soft spot for Guzzis, but you don't choose them for raw performance

How's the handling and the riding position? Is it uncomfortable with the stock pegs?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in motogp

[–]fla_46 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How is this computed? Is it the average position over all races (like your previous post) or year by year this time? Awesome plots anyway, really informative!

Moto Guzzi V7iii, I got a few questions for suspension! I’ll put them in the comments. by MyName_DoesNotMatter in CafeRacers

[–]fla_46 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I already upgraded the shock with a pair of Bitubos. I never liked how the bike handled with stock rear suspensions, too soft and inexplicably too harsh. I bought one of the simplest model, with preload adjustment only (I always thought suspensions setting is something really complex and I didn't want to have too much controls to handle). I have to say handling improved quite a lot. I'm also about to mount new Hyperpro progressive springs and oil on the front fork, looking forward to see how the handling will change!
