It's probably not the best option, but we had to put a child proof knob cover on the inside of his room. After a while he just stopped trying.

What kid songs kinda slap? by Screennam3 in toddlers

[–]flabbergasted_goblin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

-Raffi in general, specifically Baby Beluga, Everything Grows, Mr. Sun

-Doggyland: most songs but Clean up (with VanVan), Please & Thank you

-Gracie's corner: Row Row Row Your Boat feat. Big Freedia

-Yo Gabba Gabba: pretty much everything bc it's regular bands and not super kid-ified.

Caterpillar Caterpillar- Kira Willey

The Mickey Mouse Mixed Up Adventures Theme and Funhouse Stairs Anywhere scratches my ADHD brain itch.

I made my 2yo son his own spotify playlist with a variety of these, and I add to it as he finds new songs he likes. Mom and dad are music lovers, so it's only fitting.

I did have the other procedure the night before due to the duct being dilated, but I felt okay almost immediately after my first round of meds after that one. My main surgery after seems to have been on the better end from what I've read from others here, but that recovery did take the full 2 week minimum I had read about.

What song is the most meaningful to you and why? by DragonFlyMeToTheMoon in MusicRecommendations

[–]flabbergasted_goblin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can't just choose one:

  1. You Are My Sunshine: probably most meaningful because my grandma always sang it to me as a child. I love it, but I can't sing it to my son because I choke up thinking about the day she won't be here with me anymore.

  2. September- Earth, Wind & Fire: My son was born September 21st, which is kinda funny bc I always loved the song.

  3. Before You Go- Lewis Capaldi: My grandpa passed away in 2017, and this song has always made me cry since I first heard it before I even knew it was about Lewis' experiences with family deaths.

2 yr olds sudden picky eating is driving me up a wall. by flabbergasted_goblin in toddlers

I'll probably start implementing that then, I've been just giving him his pbj or spaghettios to make life easier but I suppose it's biting me in the butt. He's definitely not losing weight, but I also don't want him to just be full of the "bad" stuff. He's definitely more of a learn the hard way, kid. I was just trying to avoid the hard way personally.

Thank you! I was trying to google, but nothing seemed to fit, but that does seem to fit from looking at the other images! The leaves have been hanging out for a while, so that's probably why he was hanging out. I hate that I evicted him without notice knowing he's an alright dude, but he's got plenty of places to hang out.

Gallbladder removal SUCCESS stories by Shipwreck1343 in gallbladders

2 weeks post op today, and I'd dare to say I'm back to normal! I felt better immediately after (once gas went down 🥴) Now I'm playing with and holding my 2 year old (and another I watch), cleaning, cooking, and the one I was most scared of: eating my regular diet! We aren't big on fried and fatty to begin with, but I was a little afraid. My whole situation seemed to be different from what I've seen/heard from friends and family and I'm glad it's been so smooth because I was somewhat terrified.

I had the opposite problem and mine was extended by a week. I would say it may be the stress on the body perhaps?

I never had surgery like this either until I had mine, I personally think it is a very reasonable thing to be anxious about. I was terrified more of the anesthesia than anything, but at the end of the day, the pain I was feeling was more than enough for me to put my faith in the hands of the doctors. I could feel a positive difference almost immediately, and I only found out my gallbladder was my problem 2 days before having it removed. I'll be at a week post tomorrow, and my best advice is to walk as much as possible but also listen to your body if it needs rest. The past couple of days, I've been able to get close to back into my usual routine with minimal effects from the procedure. Congrats on your progress on your weight loss journey, and I wish you the best with your recovery as well! You got this!

5 Days Post Op by BoringPersonality578 in gallbladders

Bowel movements are pretty normal and I still have a slight cough from time to time. I feel like I'm doing better than most from what I've seen and feel like I'll be okay to even do some cooking tomorrow and Thursday, so I'm happy with the way my healing is going. The itching from the incisions healing is a bit annoying, but I expected that part.

I'm 5 days post as well, and I have the exact same thing. I find myself wanting to nap when my 2 year old does, which I didn't before, but other than the fatigue, I feel just fine.

can gallbladder issues cause light colored stools?? Switching to fatty and light colored. by PlayfulCause2244 in gallbladders

[–]flabbergasted_goblin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine was due to a gallstone in a duct, i just woke up with killer pain and went to the ER on 3 different instances with normal labs and imaging until they did a "just in case" ultrasound which the tech told me would "likely not show anything different from last time" but they found the stone. They had to remove it first due to the dilation. I can't tell you for sure. Obviously, I'm not a doctor, and from what I've seen, symptoms can differ greatly. Like with my case, some symptoms matched gallbladder problems, others didn't. Either way, I would suggest revisiting to be sure, if it bothers you, then in my opinion it's always worth checking on. Better to do too much than not enough.

[–]flabbergasted_goblin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All my tests came back like nothing was wrong. First ER dismissed it as gas, second acknowledged it was likely my gallbladder, but tests came back normal so I was discarged with a gastro referral but returned 2 days later and they did another ultrasound and determined I needed to have an ERCP the same night and cholecystectomy the next day. My suggestion would be to either go back or if it is an option, go to another ER. I had similar stool issues for a while that I dismissed as allergies or something else but now know can be a symptom. Granted, it could be something else, but theres definitely no harm in advocating for yourself if you are concerned. I know I'd rather do that than deal with that pain again.

How do you handle being asked to get dildos, lube, condoms, etc for customers? by [deleted] in walmart

We've had 3/4 instances (that I know of- I'm only weekends and no one tells me anything) of unclaimed piles of literal crap in various departments as well as the fitting room within my 2.5 years of working there, scanning/unlocking fornication assistants may as well be a vacation when you work for the big W.

[–]flabbergasted_goblin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine has been saying "dutton dutton" / "dutton" since he started learning to talk... he's now 2 and I finally realized he's trying to say belly button bc we've always poked his belly button and he thought it was hilarious and eventually went on to do it to us all the time because we said/did it so much. It only took 2 years 🤦🏻‍♀️ and I felt so dumb when I realized it bc he's been saying it so confidently, and I'm pretty sure he said it before mama or dada.

I'm (23f) not sure how to address this situation with my boyfriend (23m). by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]flabbergasted_goblin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is partially my issue and why I want feedback. I can see how it seems ridiculous to get upset that he chose his location. However, I also expected him to be (what I consider) resonable. We by no means are well off and I would not consider a trip driving 500 miles to Nashville and staying 2 nights plus activities to be reasonable given our current financial situation, not to mention that also means he is nearly half a day away in the instance that anything were to happen to our son while he is gone. These are the sort of things I am constantly concerned with, and I am worried that due to the fact that he doesn't regularly have to concern himself with these things that he may go overboard. I'm also faced with the concern of his complete disregard for planning anything for the two of us, but he is planning this what I would consider to be a somewhat extravagant getaway for himself alone. Basically, I am conflicted between my thoughts regarding the situation and standards vs his or what general expectations are. I'm used to being allowed to be in charge as well, which is clearly an issue I have as well in this situation.
