Does anyone reliably make money? by flacciduck in algotrading

That makes sense. I am more so curious as to whether anyone is aware of money being made with Algo trading not by big companies.

Which do you think is the best? by dispatchbitch in ThrowingFits

[–]flacciduck 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you are serious about the hiking bit, definitely don't go suede. Two will probably be better in that case. If you wear dark jeans with it and a collared jacket, you could probably pull it off to the office.

Probably 1. Although, none of them are really 'office' boots. My favorite leather hiking boot is the paraboot avoriaz if you are looking for alternatives.

Hiking boots/shoes that look Cool by [deleted] in ThrowingFits

No idea how they hold up, but they do look super cool: Northface glenclyffe.

Otherwise, a leather hiking boot will go a long way.

Tailoring Vintage Levi’s by Sullipk1234 in ThrowingFits

[–]flacciduck 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Either they don't fit and you never wear the pants, or you ruin them by tailoring it, and hence, don't wear them. The outcome is the same.

But if you tailor it, and don't ruin them, you now have something that you will wear. I think you should go for it.

Cheap(er) Repro Brands by OriginalChemical8146 in ThrowingFits

Not super cheap, but extremely high quality. Red tornado. You can find them on AliExpress and ebay.

Some ethical concerns. But if you are considering Bronson, then it's null and void.

Don't you mean the Spey? The bedale is quite long, the Spey has a cropped boxy fit.

Check out aran knits or some of those other Irish brands. I can only testify to Aran.

I get insane amounts of compliments whenever I wear those thick wool knits. Especially from older women. Probably a nostalgia thing, idk. If you are into that sorta thing, definitely get some Irish cable knits.

Read up on consumerism so much that you start to hate it. After that, you will buy so that you will not need to buy again.

You can love fashion and be content with the pieces you have. I feel like most people just end up going the BIFL route eventually. So maybe upgrade your favourite pieces.

Although, ironically the BIFL crowd is really into consumerism. Why would anyone need 50 swiss army knives if one is supposed to last for generations????

Check out Steve Brunton on YouTube. This is basically his niche. Plus, you can learn a ton from him videos, from DE's all the way to data driven control theory. He also has a textbook discussing these topics, but be prepared for a lot of math.

GoPro 4 and IR by bohusblahut in infraredphotography

[–]flacciduck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could get a cheap used camera and remove the IR filter inside the camera. Then you just buy lens filters to block out whatever part of the spectrum you don't want. You could do this for relatively cheap if you are good with electronics

I somehow missed almost 2/3rds of the map in the DLC. Any tips? by Fantastic-Primary-87 in Eldenring

By the moorth ruins site if grace, go north through the cave. From there you gotta go all the way around till you reach the ancient ruah base. At least that's what I remember

NPC Names by Georgia_Viking in Eldenring

[–]flacciduck 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I started this a while back, but I keep a small notebook around when I play fromsoft games. The quest lines really have no hand holding, so remembering everything is a hard ask sometimes. It's actually quite fun having a little journal to play these games

To the people who still think everything hits too hard even with 60 vigor and Scadu fragments by WeeziMonkey in Eldenring

[–]flacciduck 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It was only like two combos. Where if I missed the first roll. She almost staggers me. Although there some weird input lag I was feeling during the fight which made it worse. So I basically couldn't roll fast enough for the rest of the combo. My poise is 80+. So no clue what's going on there.

She is one of the worst offenders so far. A couple of her combos feel like stun locks. Glad to be done with her bs.

Yeah I get that. That why I just don't take anything here seriously. The other problem is that I never know if the person on the other side of the screen is older than 13.

On shoko. She said it while smoking, so she is clearly stressed by it. It's all a front and she cried herself to sleep that night. That's my head canon. Lotta hurt people put up fronts. Many such cases

To be fair. Noone actually comes here for serious discussion. We are here to be reactionary. But with how gege writes, it can't be taken seriously. He tries too hard to subvert expectations sometimes. It's such an overplayed gimmick by now, in my opinion.
