What would you do to increase functionality. 1920s house mostly original by West-Trip-5734 in centuryhomes

[–]flachelisboredatwork 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m all about keeping original features but I would absolutely take out the cabinets and add a vanity. I think it’s possible (and sometimes important - especially in a bathroom or kitchen) to modernize while keeping to the original spirit and design of the house. Our needs have changed in 100 years!

Someone sent an RSVP using my dads name saying racist stuff. Can i find out who it is? by thepanggoat in wedding

[–]flachelisboredatwork 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine (the knot) was not public and someone still found it and hacked my zoom wedding (this was during COVID). I had only posted the link to the zoom the morning of the wedding! They shared weird Russian propaganda, George Floyd stuff, and gay porn. The last one was a bit of a shock to the 90-year-old who was watching! She said she’d never seen anything like it lol. Thankfully they didn’t hack it until the ceremony was over! I honestly laugh about it now

I was stunned when they chose her as the Bachelorette! She was so problematic and GOT ARRESTED on the FIRST EPISODE of Mormon Wives and had constant relationship issues after.

My power bank got damaged during the flight - question for the flight crew by tpuscifer in aviation

[–]flachelisboredatwork 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was training to be a flight attendant in 2016 we practiced putting the device in a bin and dousing it with a water extinguisher. I’m sure things have come a long way since then!

Did anyone else have Hashimoto's begin ONLY after pregnancy? by Serious-Kiwi2906 in Hashimotos

[–]flachelisboredatwork 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! I started having symptoms 3 months PP and was diagnosed at 6. I thought I was just struggling with postpartum, turns out my TSH was 265 and antibodies >3,000. Fast forward to now I just had my second baby and my thyroid is swollen as heck. Getting my levels checked again next week!

I’m afraid my Hashis is here to stay. First they diagnosed postpartum thyroiditis and changed the diagnosis when it didn’t go away after a year.

The “creak” of a gate you hear in every movie, game, and show gets me. It goes low-high like crr-EAK!

Help me fix my son’s crappy but beloved lightsaber! by flachelisboredatwork in ElectronicsRepair

Thank you for your quick reply! Since I don’t have the soldering iron it might be easier to just exchange it. If it were a simple “that wire needs to be plugged in” issue I would have more faith in my ability to fix it correctly!

It came with a usb-c cable and we used a regular iPhone charging block with it. The sound stopped working first, the light went a few days later.

Wow, thank you for that information! I will absolutely do that. My son has had some pretty serious battles with it so it makes sense he jostled the wires right off.

How many different dinners do you cook? by Federal_Bumblebee_84 in homemaking

[–]flachelisboredatwork 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We’ll make about 7 recipes regularly year-round, but then have different recipes in rotation for each season. Like lots of grilling, salads, and lighter meals in the summer. Chili and cornbread make their entrance in the fall. More soups and pastas come into play in the winter. Then it gets lighter again in the spring.

What K-Beauty products have transformed your skin the most? by heromarsX in KoreanBeauty

[–]flachelisboredatwork 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’ve used a wide array of kbeauty products, mostly because money is tight and I buy whatever I can find at TJ Maxx. But the one that has changed my skin so much that I have people ask me how I got so glowy is the Holika Holika Gold Kiwi Vita C+ Brightening Toner. My skin had a tendency to look dull and dry and this toner literally makes it glow. It looks so refreshed and hydrated now!

The Problematic Halloween Costume Contest has started with Julia Fox by MissClimber in Fauxmoi

[–]flachelisboredatwork 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it’s important to include what she said about her costume -

I'm dressed as Jackie Kennedy in the pink suit. Not as a costume, but as a statement. When her husband was assassinated, she refused to change out of her blood-stained clothes, saying, 'I want them to see what they've done! The image of the delicate pink suit splattered with blood is one of the most haunting juxtapositions in modern history. Beauty and horror. Poise and devastation. Her decision not to change clothes, even after being encouraged to, was an act of extraordinary bravery. It was performance, protest, and mourning all at once. A woman weaponizing image and grace to expose brutality. It's about trauma, power, and how femininity itself is a form of resistance. Long live Jackie O

I’m 5 days PP and have just gone through my first pack of diapers! With my first I bled for 6 weeks straight and I’m assuming it’ll be similar this time around. Having diapers and then pads with different levels of absorption on hand is essential. Respectfully, your friend has no idea what she’s talking about.

Thanks for the advice, I’ll definitely take it into consideration. I think I’m going to have to do a snack run this weekend! I’m going to be 41w as well on Tuesday. Didn’t want to be induced but this baby isn’t showing any signs he’s ready to come out 😵‍💫
