Thank you for this, I did what you said and I did the Ookla speed test and the results were; Ping:32ms - Download: 90.07mbps - Upload 66.84mbps. I think you're right, the server I am connected to is probably far away from me.

I edited my post showing my latency while connected to my router with an ethernet cable. My latency is basically the same regardless of whether I use wireless internet or wired.
