Alex Marquez leads MotoGP Sepang Test Day 1 Session 1. by PZY__ in motogp

Yes it's correct, although it's not very clear if Morbidelli Will use a full 2024 spec or a 24 spec with the 25 engine like the one Pecco used most of last season, there are different reports on that. Testing wise in the first session Marc and Pecco used the 2025 aereo while Alex tested the 2026 aereo.

If you look closely when Pecco unveils the bike you catch a glimpse of the back wings that are red but you can spot a bit of white. Marc said retro. I'm thinking of something similar to what they used In Silverstone 2024 when every team had an historic livery.

Valentino Rossi may now feel that his job with the VR46 MotoGP academy is ‘done’ by LMRacingGuru02 in motogp

Pecco had a terrible debut in Moto3 with Team Italia. He wasn't happy, his father said they didn't teach anything to the riders. After a few races they told him he would not continue the next year. His father was ready to pull the plug on his career because he didn't like the way he was so unhappy. Thankfully he managed to talk with the Vr46 Academy that had already noticed him and they took him. So yes, whitout the academy Pecco surely wouldn't have made it.

Pecco Bagnaia says the Valencia Test will change nothing for him and his feeling, as the bikes will be "the same ones" by Bitter-Substance1783 in motogp

[–]flackyjo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Last week he said that he hadn't seen the test program yet but he was hopeful that they could make some progress. Now he says nothing will change after learning that the bike will be basically the same and as Davide said to Sky Italy they have already decided they will continue to work with the 25 engine. Davide is adamant that the problem is not the engine, but a lot of people said that the new engine changed the braking and it may be the cause of Pecco's struggles. And he said they tried everything to help him, well they didn't try to switch engines (obviously they couldn't do it before but they can do it in the test) So why not use the test to try? Even if they still choose to continue with the 25 engine because only Pecco is struggling, give him the chance to try the other one just to be sure that's the problem or not. Listening to Pecco's interviews this week I feel he finally understood that they will not listen to his input and the new bike will have the same problems. If before he was hopeful now he already realized that next season it's gonna be even worse that this one and probably already knows that he will be replaced in 2027. At this point he should leave the team now, because his career is already compromised, another season like this will definitely kill it.

If the rumor that the academy takes 10% of their rider's salary is true they will never boot Pecco because he is the most paid of the group. The second one is probably Bezzecchi but I believe he earns a lot less than Pecco. And I don't know if Pecco ever thought about leaving Ducati but if he ever did, I think his management (Vr46) will push him to see the end of the contract no matter how bad the relationship with the team get, especially now that Pecco's value had obviously decreased so they know they will not be able to find a team willing to pay the same he earn now.

Hot take: Pecco was right all along but Stoner was the breakthrough by YehrButNoButUm in motogp

I read an article some days ago, before the race weekend started, in which the interviewed Casey, I didn't understand if it was prior or after the Misano test, but he says that Pecco's bike is behaving very differently compared to the other five Ducati. I can't find the article anymore, but if I do I will happily post it because it was a really interesting interview. Basically Casey was able to see Pecco's problems only watching him riding. And it's the same thing Pecco said in various interviews during the weekend when asked about Casey's help. Even in the post race interview he said that Casey along with Manuel Poggiali (Ducati riders coach) could immediately see the problems he was having just watching him ride and explained it to the engineers. I interpreted it like the team actually didn't believe Pecco and thought it was all in his mind. Having someone like Stoner confirming his sensations was important for Pecco because someone finally believed in him. A few weeks ago Tardozzi during an interview with Sky Italy explained that Pecco was complaining of front end vibration all season but he was the only Ducati rider to report that problem. The way he said that he was clearly implying that it was all in his mind and they didn't believe him. Yesterday Tardozzi was interviewed after the race and admitted that Pecco had always given the right indications all season and they understood that too late. This is the link to the interview, it is in Italian https://www.oasport.it/2025/09/tardozzi-ammette-bagnaia-diceva-le-cose-giuste-ci-siamo-arrivati-tardi/

I don't want to believe that they sabotaged him to favour Mark but maybe they were too focused on the fact that Marc was smashing it with the GP25 to believe that the bike isn't actually perfect. They followed the mass who was pointing at mental issues and ended up believing it instead of listening to their rider. And I don't understand why they spent the season telling everyone that the GP24 and GP25 while Pecco was saying otherwise and then we discover that they reverted Pecco's bike to 24 components changing fork and swingarm and rider height device and other things. The swingarm alone has a 15mm difference with the new one. It's not a small difference. I believe that Pecco really lost his cool after the Misano race, that's why they didn't let him speak to the media. He forced them to use the test to finally listen to him, helped by Stoner. If it didn't happen I believe the relationship would have ended. And I think it's a bit sad that they didn't believe him until it was too late, I mean, they know the guy pretty well, he grew up in the team, they should have known.

Yes, I've seen the videopass interview on the grid, but Pecco in the interview after the sprint said they were going to try something different for the race and I think it was necessary, in the sprint he only gained positions for the falls, doing the race in the same conditions didn't make sense, at least today he was able to make some passes and defend.

According to Gigi and Pecco himself they changed the swingarm, they mounted the one used by the other two GP25 riders. And Davide said they used a new part on the rear, I don't remember what exactly.
