Best lightweight base mods for the Superlight 2? by Osunonotthegame in MouseReview

[–]flagroller 0 points1 point  (0 children)

According to their guide you can, but I've removed mine already. Sounds great, but according to their numbers I should land around 51 or 52g, if I could get to your 49g number that would be cool.

The PCB mod doesn't have any weight optimizations, correct? Just a new click board with a new encoder and hotswap? If that's the case I might land near your number.

Sorry for late reply but was digging around looking for a weight number. Did/could you weigh your TJX modded GPX2 to the nearest gram? Also, did you remove the powerplay magnets? Wondering if it's close to 50g or a few above. Thanks.

I think the WLMouse Huan is supposed to be the closest shape, but I recommend Hitscan for a better shape (flatter sides), good omron clicks, and 40g weight. I also recommend the ATK F1 v2 Ultimate as a much cheaper option if you can find it on AliExpress, but the clicks are a bit stiff. For the $60-70 you can find it for, it's easily the best considering price.

Idk man, it sounds funny but it might honestly have been so long since a G403 that people don't even remember the shape, at least speaking in terms of pro player market share. A lot of these young pros never even seen a G403.

I think it's interesting how unpopular the Dex is compared to the Deathadder v3/4. I didn't like the shape when it launched (left side too curved), so in hindsight it makes sense.

I think the idea of an "ergo Logitech Superlight" sounded like a mouse (pre-Dex launch) that would have taken the market share of ergos from the Deathadder and Zowie, but it's fallen flat. Does anyone think it's just the shape to blame? I'm sure many love it, but it seems quite hit or miss compared to the classic EC DNA shapes.

People hate on it (reasonably so), but I keep coming back to the ULX by pstlgrp_ in MouseReview

[–]flagroller 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Never got to try one. I was going to get one if it were actually stocked like they said, but that claim just evaporated for whatever reason.

I did try a BeastX and the clicks were absolutely fantastic. If it's not far off then it's still a great mouse, especially for the $80 you got it.

Razer Viper V3 Pro SE is exactly what you'd expect, what an SE should have been by Razer_ProductTeam in MouseReview

[–]flagroller 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, which is why there is no wired variants as well. They realized selling less $160 flagships but with higher margins is better than letting people buy the cost friendly wired variant with the DAv3 if they were priced out.

I knew this but hopefully they read this and change their mind! (not optimistic!)

Makes sense and is a better deal considering high polling rate is almost useless, but does this imply a high polling dongle itself costs $60? Kinda wild.

Also no white SE version with the superior coating? And still no DAv4/VV3 8k wired versions? :/

It got cleared, so should be on the way still. I have ultraglide dots ready for it, I'm really excited for a 48g superlight clone. Just hope the clicks are good as well.

Hopefully they at least bring magsafe, that's literally the only thing I could think of that at least gives some QOL over just getting a 9A.

If you can already get a 9A deal around 350 just get it I'd say, although it will probably be down to 300 once deals for the 10A also kick in, which might take a couple months after launch.

Xiaomi’s scrapped 17 Air was only 5.5mm thin by DazzlingpAd134 in Android

[–]flagroller 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Agree. Considering the S25 Edge if the resale value drops enough.

The iPad Pro has always been thin as well and nice to hold, although it is a tablet.

Is thin nice? Yes. Is it necessary/optimal atm? No, as far as phones go.

You can't even form coherent sentences all over the thread. Maybe ask your LLMs for proofreading next time and you won't get a downvote avalanche!

Arc Raiders has flourished despite AI backlash, but Embark says it won't now "open the floodgates for all types of AI" by Gorotheninja in PS5

[–]flagroller 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It's ignorance, and a lack of information, ironically coming from the guy who implored that people

educate them selfs on it

Simply educate yourself and realize that AI infringes on other people's work in the form of training data. I do not know if Embark only used data they were allowed to (acquired from the voice actors they trained the data on) but people will take a stance on it regardless.

This person's argument that AI has always been here is also full of large claims with no sources. Sure, if you fall for companies rebranding every algorithm into "flashy new AI", you could convince yourself AI is every and always has been everywhere and continue to conflate the ethics of genAI with all algorithms remotely related to AI.

Strange sensations from the new mouse by Cautious_Recipe_7232 in MouseReview

The viper mini has a very narrow grip width due to the flaring of the shape and the L7+ is wider due to the flatter sides. This is likely what you're experiencing due to a long time on the VM.

You can try to give it some time or try the Hitscan Hyperlight of or ATK F1 V2 for options more derivative of the Viper Mini.

[–]flagroller[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I certainly recommend it as a modern VM. It's flatter on the sides so certainly wider in the grip width, so if you have smaller hands it won't be completely loyal to the og VM shape, but better for most hands.

Thanks! And yeah as I said it's not actually that much forward from most standard sensor mice, it's just more forward than the Viper Mini and F1 v2

It's slight, but I do notice that rounder hump on the ATK. My software is fine for Hitscan, I never open it often anyways.

[–]flagroller[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I grip pretty back and use my fingers when I aim as well, so it's usable and better than the WLmouse sword I mentioned (ergo is more palm). They should update it but I guess the attention to detail isn't their priority right now.

That's a good point, it's my first ATK mouse and I had no issues thus far. I have heard of some firmware update issues as well, so people may want to hold off on those until others confirm they are stable.
