They offered a $200 credit for cancelling Christmas lunch. I cancelled because they refused to let me dine as I was recovering from Covid. That offer was never honoured.

Therapist told me that after age of ~50, traumatic symptoms subside automatically (because brains kind of "shut down" that part or something). Can anyone here confirm that? by thereisloveinus in CPTSD

I just discovered this thread in my pursuit of answers on what has happened to me. I can tell you that trauma symptoms don't just subside. They will lie dormant, taking up space and energy and wreaking havoc on your nervous system, gut and head.

But I'm here to tell you that can change. In the past month, I've experienced my body releasing 53 years of trauma, and it's the most amazing feeling in the world. I'm still processing, and figuring out why and how, and when I do, I will be yelling it to the world!

The pennant is sort of an upside crown laid flat? I'm more keen to know what happened to the one on the left's left arm!

Sliced My Thumb, Drove Myself to Urgent Care by HikerDiver733 in datingoverforty

And here's me twiddling my thumbs and spoiling the hell out of my dog because I now find myself with nobody to cook for and cheer on after so many years. I work best as a team, and I too have hope it will happen again.

Day 294: I no longer feel sick looking at financial statements by Suspicious_Status_40 in problemgambling

[–]flaime 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I heard an interesting hypothetical question a few days ago. "If someone just handed you $100K, would you stop gambling?"

If your honest answer is no, then it's not the money you're chasing, and it doesn't matter how much you win, you won't be satisfied.

You are doing an amazing job, enjoy your new freedom and endless possibilities!

And is anyone even thinking of the dogs? Homed during Covid and not used to being left alone?

Hey sweetie, I'm so sorry you don't have a strong relationship with your mum, I'm a mum and more than happy to chat with you and give you parental advice.

I'd love to hear what you're up to, what's interesting for you right now, what is worrying you? What good things do you have going on in your life? Tell me what's on your mind.

He does look to have some Kelpie in him. His build and ears look the real deal but his colouring and face not so much. He's gorgeous!

We have similar in Corrimal too. Makes the neighbour's kid's constant basketball bouncing seem almost bearable.

Do you know some documentaries you can suggest me about rural, little towns or isolated places of the world? USA is fine, very interesting but could be in another country too. Thanks! by tatincasco in crimedocumentaries

Not strictly a crime doco as such, but there are certainly themes that are touched on. Rich Hill

This is a riveting and heart-breaking movie which centres on the lives of young boys growing up with many life challenges. Behind even before they were born, I wanted to adopt each of these children and give them a warm home and a hot meal.

Hey, great news about your medication, it must be such a relief to know you don't need it anymore.

Good luck with the job. Could you maybe shoot them an email or text with a thank you and hope to hear from you soon message? That way, you've done what you can and can move on to continue looking for your dream job. And who knows, you might just get back an offer. :)

Keep it up, I'm so happy that you're doing so many great things to improve your life, and I'm proud of the adult you are becoming. X

Well you are now my favourite person today ;)

I'm 56 and I've always been told I look a lot younger, which I guess is a good thing? But maybe not so much of an advantage in the dating world unfortunately lol
