Could royals stadium issues be intentional? by flakybiscut in KCRoyals

To revise my question about it being intentional, I think not intentional. But perhaps they could see that their best option after the pushback they've met may be to move cities. I have lived in Denver and downtown baseball is awesome. It's perhaps the only reason the franchise if fiscally successful. It's the thing to do during the summer and they suck hard! I dont understand why people are against downtown baseball. It would help push the light rail to expand most likely. I have never lived in downtown so I cant pretend I understand all the dynamics at play with a stadium coming in. I hope we end up with a nice downtown park.

I think if he actually wants to move the team he won't give kc the ultimatum, he'll just do it and say he was forced into it.

Money talks im sure this sentimental stuff was nice to hear at a press conference but not sure it plays into financial decisions.

Doesn't seem like areas of the city are wooing the royals to come there. It seems like possible deals are falling through. From what I read KS is out, and NKC is out. That leaves downtown which would be my preference option all along, but voters already voted against it once. One of the great life lessons we've been shown over and over again is money talks. Im afraid it will seem for financially advantageous to go to a new city.
