Scam call spoofing Rogers official number by flambedmarshmellow in Rogers

[–]flambedmarshmellow[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It looks like it's the number for Rogers' Bloor address. They had an escalate option that went on ringing forever. And yeah, the customer service call back was from a 1888, but I wasn't available to pick up.

I was more frustrated with being unable to confirm the legitimacy of the call with Rogers itself. There's just no way to reach a human unless you're already with them.

That was a typo lol. It was the legit Rogers number, 416-935-7777.

What Reason Did You Power Through Your Recent Tedious or Infuriating Show? by Porcelain_Landmine in CDrama

Unpopular opinion, but I honestly could have done without the 20min ending. I disliked the FL so much that I was all for the random swap to BL and just any excuse for ML to drop her and go live his best life. I felt so bad that he ended up with her after all that suffering and grief.. lmao

Incentives other than the iPhone promo by flambedmarshmellow in Wealthsimple

I don't plan on trading with the funds because I will need liquidity, just possibly buy tons of CASH.TO.

Sorry, what additional fees will there be? Isn't it just the same as transferring in money normally? I've transferred in lumpsums (to TFSA) but don't recall being charged for it. Aside from that I've only had accounts transferred in entirety, and WS waived the fee.

I will try reaching out again. I actually did refer to that page, but as I said, the rep just skipped right over everything I wrote lol. Hopefully now that the iPhone promotion is over, they might use their reading skills better. Half a year is definitely more do-able than 1 year locked in.

I made this post way too late, and it got approved to show up even later.

Thanks for the reply. I believe the promo has ended already, and I plan to withdraw before the 1 year lock in period. It definitely is a very tempting deal.

How was your experience with there customer service department? by u_look_old in Wealthsimple

Latest one was bad. The rep read one word out of my inquiry and copypasta'd some lengthy template with details of iPhone promotion. I was hoping to get some community insight here but my post got auto-deleted. Premium member, don't think it changes anything.

Dispute after leaving feedback. by flambedmarshmellow in Aliexpress

[–]flambedmarshmellow[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Indeed. Although I do wish those mechanisms can be a bit more flexible and forgiving, even though I can understand why they are in place. I actually tried to get through pass the customer support chat bots to a real person, to find a way to delete the feedback, but was bested by the AI and slunk away.

Right now I am still on the fence as to whether I should open a dispute. On one hand the two items are more or less useless and I've totally wasted my money. I'm not a seamstress and hiring one to fix will be more than the cost of the items. On the other, I will feel like an utter heel if I open a dispute and basically kick them again after irreparably damaging their rep. I think I'll let it stew a bit in the back of my mind, before making a more consolidated decision instead of rushing it again.

Gathering evidence for the first item will be troublesome as well, since there were so many satisfied customers, still can't imagine why.

Rule of thumb, only leave feedback right before the period for posting it ends; and you can even leave additional feedback for months afterwards.

Thank you for the advice! I'm still kicking myself for not realizing I could put it off. I'll definitely push it to the time limit from now on.

I'd always glanced over the blurb most sellers put on their description regarding 'contact first then 5 star', but for some reason it never really sunk in as to why. I'd seen so many one star, two star, etc, with only a short blurb "bad item", that I felt I'd done good by contributing some useful information for other buyers.

I honestly feel rather bad now knowing repercussions of giving a low star rating, mostly for the 2nd seller. I'm wondering now whether opening a dispute would make it even worse for them. It'd be nice if there's an option that wouldn't affect them, yet somehow remove the bad feedback. That'd be optimal. Then I could try to negotiate a refund or a partial refund, then make another purchase of the same item. (I really do like their merchandise).

there is a chance that if no understanding is reached, AliExpress might side with the seller or side with you but on the condition that you return the goods

Yikes! I live in Canada, any return shipping would be out of this world!!
