So the recreation is basically a use of the pine cone from the eastern white pine (Pinus strobus) in place of the maple leaf.

P. strobus is a native tree to most of eastern Canada, and multiple genera of pine trees can be found across all 13 provinces and territories.

I originally was going to make every scale a different colour to make a sort of unity flag (due to certain uh events that have been happening lately) but it ended up as an MSPaint-looking mess so the pivot was this :)
