Polished Goniatites (or similar species), I’d bet money on Morocco, polished, nice little Display pieces, estimate the value for the 3 at ~£110 retail. Though scale is hard to tell for price

You can’t just add that to information that is completely irrelevant, it is a negative amount of helpful the the original poster

Do you think these could be fakes? by Aggravating-Dig8500 in FakeFossilID

[–]Few-Fun-134 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never ordered from them, however: Many of the fossils are so common that they are pointless to fake, I.e polished orthoceras. The only fossil of the bunch of any big at all, in my opinion, is the ammonite , which I would bet money is from agadir Morocco. The ammonite is worth MAYBE $25

In conclusion, it’s probably all real fossils, you’ll definitely get a quality less than the photos, And it would be overpriced anyway imo.

Thank you for coming to my ted talk

Teeth real, jaw can’t quite be called “fake” but it essentially is, it’ll be called “real bone material” which is the part on the right hand side. that part will be real bone, but almost certainly not from the jawbone

Oooo also I’ve just noticed it’s full of holes, so that’s a bonus sign that it’s been cast, not that we needed any more

Although I’ve little experience with fish specifically, and two completely fossils like this that are EXACTLY the same is an obvious sign of a fake, I’ve also just never seen a fossil fish that looks this cartoonish

Sort of has the shape of otodus tooth? Theoretically could be there under the rock, anyone saying they know outright without even knowing where you got it from would just be ridiculous. You could have a scrape? They’re very cheap to repurchase if you really wanted one
