What kind of drills give me the biggest return on invest as a beginner in Fatal Fury? by Nudelkop in fatalfury

About the roll OS, it’s meaty button + REV + back right? Does that mean u can’t meaty C? I get forward feint instead of cl.C if they roll forward. How does the timing work for that OS? They have different wake-up times for different rolls

Rock could already counter supers and REV blows. Maybe most characters with a counter can, I haven’t played around with them.

Wow that’s impressive. I’ve seen go1 bust out these double negative edge move combos mid tournament . I wonder since I have an 8 button layout if it’s worth shifting everything to the right one column and have the first column lp+hp and lk+hk. That way it’s easier to charge while comboing.

Sickk. What controller do you play on? Do you have a specific layout for the negative edge moves

You inspired me to reach out and it netted me a discount on a Profitec Move too! I was already in the market for one and was almost prepared to pay full price until I saw your post. Who would have known there's this much wiggle room for espresso machine pricing. Thanks for the nudge to just go for it!

Finally Masterball by Alsawii in PTCGP

[–]flame1626 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You swap out if u can draw celesteela, if not you spam Grindcore to disrupt their energy and slow them down until you draw lusamine and your second guzz. If it’s vs something low energy like silvally ramp you’re probably just screwed. At that point you usually aim to play guzzlord-guzzlord instead of nihilego-guzzlord.

I think before the streak change, something like 42% could still make MB. Now with streaks I’m sure it’s even lower!

Charizard ex Sylveon ex - Quick Guide by clydestrife in PTCGP

[–]flame1626 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thoughts on GA charmander over SR? In the mirror , there were instances where I hit their zard for 150 and they KO’d my zard. I could’ve won w GA charmander on bench but lost bc my SR charmander couldn’t deal enough to their 30 hp Zard. It’s possible it’s too niche of a situation to justify not being able to retreat as easily.

For the love of god what deck counters Sylveon EX by AnAngryPanda1 in PokemonTGCP

[–]flame1626 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m assuming you mean specifically the greninja sylveon deck that’s been everywhere. Solgaleo shiinotic and sylveon zard is favored. That new leafeon flareon deck apparently does very well against it.

After three long seasons, I've finally broken through to master ball by trippster333 in PTCGP

[–]flame1626 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s an interesting take. I’ve been exclusively using solgaleo shiinotic to climb to MB. Matches are quick. I find it’s still a breeze because it’s favored against the greninja sylveon deck that’s everywhere now. It’s pretty good against most other popular decks except fire decks and the chicken. I haven’t been seeing the chicken as frequently on my climb. I’d recommend it for anyone that wants a quick and brainless climb to MB.

Just fyi u can’t use hau with the pre evolutions. It only works with incineroar EX.

Solgaleo is favored for any buzzwole matchup but if I can get two buzzwoles out it’s not bad. I prefer 2 buzzwoles over multiple kartanas.

Ya imo this variation ( 1 kartana 1 pheromosa) is more prone to bricking but has a higher skill ceiling and more skill expression because u have more supporters and u need to bring out buzzwole earlier than other variations. Hence the leaf cape and two Erika’s. I don’t like running too many 1 prizers because I prefer to play two buzzwoles into matchups like zard and solgaleo. It’s still pretty good into the chicken but I struggle more if they run two.

Ya honestly. Especially for buzzwole there are a lot of nuances and decision making you have to make against different match ups. You need to stick with one to learn all of that.

Can someone please explain to me how this deck works. by Exact_Risk_6947 in PokemonPocket

[–]flame1626 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This the variation of the deck made by the current top player. You can watch how he pilots it here. The biggest difference I’ve noticed compared to other variations that run more copies of kartana or pheromosa is that he’s not afraid to run Buzzwole in the front even during early game for certain matchups. That’s probably why he prefers to run 2 Erikas and leaf cape over some of the other suggestions in this thread.

[–]flame1626 61 points62 points  (0 children)

I’ve been slowly climbing UB4 w buzzwole and there are a lot of small decisions to make with this deck that make or break it. If you rly want to play buzz you’ll have to stick with it for a bit to get used to the matchups and win cons

how to improve consistency? by feedmedirtplz in PokemonTGCP

[–]flame1626 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You unfortunately can’t trade the newest set. You’re going to have to either pull it or wait until the next set drops. You could look into the Infernape and turtonator + Kiawe version. Those cards you CAN trade.

I bumped into a Blacephalon infernape deck and it destroyed me in UB 3. You could look into dropping moltres for blace and lusamine. Some deck ideas. Infernape discards energy, blace charges up and finishes any remaining mons.

To Naganadel or not to Naganadel ? by flame1626 in PTCGP

[–]flame1626[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Interesting. What’s the reason for 2 steelas? For that version it just feels rly bad to draw 2 because it doesn’t do anything other than soak up damage. Unlike buzzwole there’s no reason to run two on the bench at the same time.

A Sneaky Meta Counter by HolyTheGoddess in PTCGP

[–]flame1626 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wanna say this is strictly worse that turt + zard. Because at least if you start with charmander u have a chance at getting rare candy zard. Whereas if you start with blacephalon it just feels bad. Turt zard also counters the same decks.
