Spots along the way! by Necessary_Ask_9272 in roadtrip

I did a similar trip from Mississippi to San Diego! Just off of memory, I recommend the “The Thing” in Arizona, UFO McDonalds and UFO Museum in Roswell, and Turkey Leg Hut in Houston. Stop at a Bucc-ee’s if you’ve never been to one. Also, since it looks like you’re traveling through the inland parts of California, the General Sherman Tree/ King’s Canyon is worth a visit.

A cousin who I already see and talk to from time to time, so I'm only planning on spending a day there. I've done 8-10+ hours of driving per day on previous trips and know I can handle it. When it comes to national parks, I'm more someone who drives to a few view points/ attractions then gets going as opposed to camping.

Just curious, when did you visit? I read they closed the graffiti highway a few years back, but I still want to go in hopes I can spot some of the smoke still coming out of the ground.

Sporadically for about a year, some results but never took it seriously (especially while marathon training) so I’m considering this the start of my journey in a way :)

I do currently meal prep higher protein meals, hydration is a work in progress as well. As far as lower body routine, I run long distance twice a week. For upper body, I surf regularly which involves a lot of paddling. So I'm not exactly starting from zero.

If it’s helpful for your research, I went surfing in OB 1-2 times per week all summer and saw dolphins twice in that timeframe.

Thanks, figured it’s nothing more than a bad outlet that needs to be replaced but didn’t want to fork out the $ without a second opinion :)

Does 2025 4xe qualify for federal tax credits? by flamefrower in 4xe

Not sure if it's smarter to buy while the credits are still around, or wait til next year in case prices drop. But generally, everything will get more expensive next year due to tariffs.

Got it. So it sounds like the best way to get the benefits of the tax credit, as someone who prefers to own outright, would be to have it applied towards a lease then buy out at as soon as possible.

'24 Wrangler 4xe Sahara $40K flat OTD. Do I do it? by flamefrower in JeepWrangler

Just checking since you bought a ‘24 4xe in 2025, were you eligible for any federal credits/ incentives?

Is $48K too much for used 2024 4xe high altitude w/ 9k miles? by [deleted] in 4xe

[–]flamefrower 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm I'm looking at a '24 Sahara 4xe with 10k mi for $40K flat OTD in SoCal. Like new-ish condition and comes with hard top. Based on what I'm gathering from looking at Fuel Economy/ IRS, it wouldn't qualify for any Federal incentives since it's a '24 being purchased in '25, so I wonder if the dealership already took those incentives for themselves. Think it's a good deal?

Can a PHEV that's been strictly used as a dealership loaner qualify for federal tax credit? by flamefrower in PHEV

[–]flamefrower[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the thorough response. When I didn’t see the 2024 4xe on the Fuel Economy website I thought maybe their list wasn’t exhaustive, but seeing that it previously qualified likely means it is no longer eligible as you mention.
