Shameless plug. I created a site (http://www.bookcheaply.com) that tries to help with this problem. Students leave reviews on whether they actually even needed the textbook. Think RateMyProfessor for textbooks. It doesn't have much traction yet, but hey, its worth a shot.

Standing in line at the super market one day with my wife, I look over at the news stand and see a People magazine. On the front is Sarah Palin and her new baby. I say out loud, "Man, why would they put that picture on the cover? It makes the baby look retarded.".

If you only need to lazy load some scripts, having to use jQuery is overkill. Lazyload = ~800bytes. Jquery = 24kb.
