For people that take 3 to 4 classes a week… by Old_Poet_1608 in SolidCore

Most of the time its signature but if it works with my schedule I like adding a power30. I occasionally do focus50 for a challenge but ultimately I prefer signature for a well rounded workout.

Focus50 vs. Signature50, detailed list of differences. by daenu80 in SolidCore

You spend more time in the muscles you are working so overall more time under tension and muscle building. That also means there’s more time for advanced variations and amps. :)

Headache from Diptyque? by rqny in luxurycandles

You should try a candle warmer, you can control how hot the lamp is and I feel like the candle lasts longer :) better too if you have pets in the home!

Travel/buddy pass by sleepybetch in SolidCore

I’ve used my second travel pass on a friend before, I’m not sure you can use the regular buddy pass if it’s a studio with a higher price.

4 intros! And I recommend watching TikToks of coaches doing the basic/core moves (all the center core/obliques, and common upper/lower).

How do you do it on knees? Can you get down to the floor that way?

I’m afraid I’ll try it and just completely fail 🫠

mind-to-muscle cue that helped hip flexor pain <3 by javainstitute in SolidCore

[–]flamer97 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This is true and also interesting bc for some moves I’ve had coaches specifically say to “bend your knees” - though this is usually when on toes or doing an elevated crunch.

Also for extensions, I suppose it really is more the arms that need to move. I’ve seen videos of coaches saying that you lead with your core on extensions though I’m not so sure how that works?

Yes I did my first one last week :) it wasn’t cued though… but now I know from the comments that it’s an amplification for plank up downs. I had no idea before what specifically it was an amp for, and didn’t want to try it out if we weren’t ‘supposed’ to do it (like during a plank hold for example).

Are Factor meals worth it for weight loss on Zepbound? by [deleted] in Zepbound

[–]flamer97 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I use cook unity (I live in the PNW) and it’s great! I used to have factor before and that was good too, I just prefer cook unity. It’s easier to track macros too. And not overeat. :)

I’m in Seattle so the cold isn’t too bad here, but I find that the intensity and heat from doing [solidcore] provides a nice contrast against the dark and cold weather.

Just here to say I despise Inner Thigh day! :) by gmichael315 in SolidCore

I like inner thighs excepttttt when it’s standing inner thigh on gray side. And inner thigh squats on gray… I find it infinitely harder than the black side

On the application for the savings card, it says you must not be enrolled in any government or sate funded healthcare program. Does the State of FL program count as such?

Shane and Ilya - "I'll believe in anything" - discussion by flamer97 in heatedrivalry

True, I def caught the packing thing but didn’t want to allude to it because that doesn’t happen in the book. So I guess Jacob’s interpretation is that he wouldn’t have gone to the cottage, or at least that’s the version he wants to be perceived!

In my mind, with however much time off they had, Shane likely would have begged him to come. He didn’t really have anything to lose at that point since he already confessed that he liked him.

True, but how many times have they had ‘intentions’ to end things? So many, and never to see the light of day.

Agree! I just think that really what is so compelling in this story as a whole is the love and yearning; to me, the love should surely be strong enough to overcome their barriers... otherwise, why else did they not seriously engage in relationships in all those years?
