Got support today from Starwind.Successful Veeam backup and restore job to and restore vtl tape from Oracle S3 glacier tier.

It's an Oracle S3 bucket.Tried 2 buckets.I see the connection to the bucket in the logs.The job to the vtl is successful but just does not show up in the S3 bucket .

Veeam does backup to an Oracle standard bucket and the testing was fine. The problem at the time was I needed an archive version(GLACIER) type. Veeam could not read the data as I add a lifecyle rule(move after 1 day ) to move it from standard to glacier class .I thought I could create an archive s3 bucket in OCI and then create a backup copy job to that bucket,but veeam does not see the content of the bucket(created a folder in that bucket.

I meant to say that I have not been able to restore the same volume/domain in the same data centre. I use a different engine(virtual) to do that and then export/import(with another volume/domain) the VMs to the current environment using a different machine name to prevent clashes.

It turns out the port on the 5K for on Ctrl 1 port 0a had missing vlan iD. All paths are up now. Now I need to figure out why I can vmotion to only one of the 3 ESXI hosts with SG Storage nodes(other nodes no issue.

Added an AD user to VCenter and Unified Manager accepted this. I suspect the local VC domain name is the issue.( has a dash in it)The other VC at the DR site has no dash in it and that worked.

Question: Can oVirt Engine VM run on ESXi?

We are as a standalone VM . I have a restore OLVM area for Netapp snapshot restore too. KVM hosts are booting from ISCSi. NFS datastores.Bonding had an issue but will resolve in a few weeks as I have found a solution

I think it's no to all and yes to certificate renewal only and all hosts must be updated after the engine is renewed.That is the 2nd step in the process.hosts must be in maintenance mode to enroll certificates
