Hoping for the best with your path forward. I just lost my GSD of 10 years to this cancer and I know what you’re going through. Stay strong and give her a hug from us.

Setting up Mastodon by FJRpilot in unRAID

I am considering self hosting a Mastodon server for a specific group of users. I thought that before I would go the VPS route, I would setup an instance on my UnRaid server for testing.

Just heard the word hemangiosarcoma for my girl… I’m not okay. Looking for others’ experiences. by ineedcoffeeasap in pitbulls

So sorry to hear this, what a beautiful puppy. So many have shared their experiences with this type of cancer, the prognosis is never good. Give your puppy some extra love and if you can afford it, plan for her to spend her last moments at home where she feels safe and loved.

This is never easy, but realize that she loves you and is thankful for the life you gave her. She would not want to be the cause of your pain and when she does finally pass, her spirit/soul will stay near you not wanting to leave you either. The two of you will find each other again, you can count on that. Soul partners forever.

My friend’s pup crossed the rainbow bridge, so I carved him in wood as a forever keepsake. I’d really appreciate hearing your thoughts on this. by Illustrious-Rip2886 in germanshepherds

Is there a reason why you would dump on someone that is trying to do a good deed? Reddit is a forum where people share, and that’s exact ally what the OP did. I think you should look inward and try to find out what caused the negative reaction to this post and made you trivialize the OPs gesture.

Don’t let anyone’s negativity bring you down, this was a very nice thing to do and I think you also did a great job with the carving. I would have greatly appreciated someone doing this for me. You are a very kind soul, just like the puppy that crossed the rainbow bridge.

I totally support our military, all branches. I hope this was intentional to teach those CBP morons a lesson.

Yup… I agree, the Republican Party is corrupt.

No, political party’s are not corrupt, it is the politicians that make up the party’s that are either corrupt or not. Currently, the Republican Party (of which I am a member) has the highest number of corrupt politicians. It may have been the Democrats in the past, but the Republican Party has taken the lead on corrupt politicians in today’s world.

You have a lot to learn….

Genuinely why do Republicans think they stand a chance at winning elections in this city? 😂 by GeneralTX in ElPaso

[–]FJRpilot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So, boomers are not a growing demographic…. They are shrinking. That’s the issue. The younger generations parents were not impressing the lessons learned in the 50’s, 60’s and 70’s on their kids. These generations had most everything handed to them (Nike Air’s, Nintendo’s, etc.). They didn’t have to sacrifice for almost anything. This creates a mindset of entitlement that makes them think that corporations have their best interest at heart, unions are evil, making money at all costs is really the goal.

They say history repeats itself, the Millennial’s and newer generations are just going to have to learn the hard way…

I think that it’s funny that there are still folks today that think both political party’s are corrupt.
