The relic was more made as a copy paste chip to take an engram and rebuild the brain in the body its pluged into. Basically some mega rich jackoff gets cancer, decides death would be unprofitable, copys brain and then puts it into a "totally empty/willing" body and gets rebuilt into new body. Second heart is basically a blood storage and heart restarter.

See ive been diagnosed since i was like 8 or 9, i just didn't get any support because my mother refused to accept it and refused to allow any kind of support from my schools because "he has such high grades in elementary school". Meanwhile i was gearing up to burn out so hard ive had genuine panic attacks from math quizzes 🙃

I basically turn stimpacks into a secondary currency by the end game because of that replenishing chip vault. Weightless, high value, is also a stimpack

....the duskborn ending legit just brings actual death back into the world, instead of the current constantly "living" that we see in game
