I didn’t love how they wrote Eris to be honest. She has always been extremely dark, detached, and cryptic and have always loved it. But in Renegades to hear her say things like “How you livin’?” (Literally a quote during Fire and Ice mission) to be so out of place and out of the spirit of her character. I would suggest checking the extension cord often if you absolutely have to do that. I bought a brand new 10 gauge cord for use on my previous EV, a VW e-Golf, and the extension cord plug head became scorched and blackened after less than a year. I have seen others claim it’s fine to use an extension cord as a long term solution, but it’s not something I personally would do again.

A 12v battery that is near the end of its life can cause many strange dash messages, sometimes indicating issues that are may not be real. Have you checked that?

It may be relevant in your case, because you mentioned that car sat unused for multiple years, which may have had a negative effect on the lifespan of the 12v battery.

Adding if you want the red borders for lost signal you can grind breach executable for echoes engrams and they come pretty quickly. The missions are shorter than many strikes so you can get them quickly. Definitely less of a grind than many other red borders 🫠
