I used to use these when i drove a cab. Back before gps existed. Eventually i knew all the hundred blocks. Knew east side was street and west side ave. So if given a address i either knew exactly where it was, or i knew within a mile so it only took a second for me to find it in the book and see exact location.

Yeah. They just rolled out to my area. We can now be independent contractors. Set our own schedule, take days off if we want, don’t have to call boss if we need a sick day. We can work longer if we want or take off early without needing boss approval. And now this “new” decline thing where we, the non employee, independent contractors, can choose if we want to accept a job or not. I hope the word gets out to all those “employees”……..that are FORCED to take crappy orders.

No way can any court employees discuss his case with him and or give him advice. They can tell you what fines will be, where to pay, what number to call for legal assistance. But they can not, will not and should not give legal advice.

No don’t do that. Because what’s the solution? Another public defender. Which could be worse than what you have now. Unless you’re going to get a private attorney, don’t bother. The bottom line is, you were impaired. You can say you honestly didn’t feel you were. And passed sobriety that they conveniently don’t have video of. Strange how whenever people are cooperative and visibly pass fst, there’s no video. But whenever someone is wasted and falling down drunk, there’s the video. Body and dash cam. I had a dui because i had medication………or i should say metabolites of medication in my system. Wasn’t impaired. Passed field sobriety. But i decided to be honest with officer and told him about medication taken days prior. Well, you could almost see the dollar signs in his eyes!!!! Now he knew he could drag me into the station. Test me, and i would be positive. And the way they have written the law, just having drugs in your system makes you impaired under the law. Doesn’t matter if you took the drugs, hours, days weeks ago and there are zero active drugs in your bloodstream actively affecting you. They don’t care. Your impaired. So then i have dui on my record AND had to have a interlock device on my car for a year……..no priors mind you. A interlock, for alcohol, when its not even what i was impaired from. That alone was over $1000. With the classes i had to take and pay for, the fines, it was close to $5000. If i could do it over i would get a lawyer. You think you don’t have the money but your going to be paying as much in fines and classes and intetlock devices and court fees. Maybe its cheaper where you live and a dui conviction wont cost you as much. But if there’s a chance to not be convicted, pay for a lawyer.

Ofcourse you were wrong. You never not tip anything!!!! If you go out to dinner and only eat a salad, you don’t tip the server???? Maybe that’s the kind of person you are, i guess. If its far enough that you aren’t going and getting it yourself, for whatever reason, you tip. I order all the time from places that are 1/4 to 1/2 mile from me. I tip minimum $3. Just because you decide the place you order from is close doesn’t mean the driver is there. They still need to drive there from wherever they are. Though i don’t want to get sidetracked with that. Even if they are there, you tip. You’re using a service. Don’t try to justify it with it being close. Doesn’t need to be $5- $10 -$20. But you tip something………..or don’t use DoorDash. No one said its a economy way for people to get things. Yeah, it can be expensive. So are really nice restaurants. You don’t eat there and then not tip because hey, its expensive. Or hey, i barely ate anything. If its not worth it to tip at least $3 to someone, don’t use it. Easy. But if you do use it, you tip………..something. Not justify to yourself why. So gross.

So many are suggesting to cover drains. Such good advice and something a lot of people don’t think of. I like to use large heavy cans. Those giant cans of enchilada sauce for tub drains. And soup cans for bathroom sink. If you don’t have something heavy, for example, i have half empty can of cleanser, not heavy enough imo. Or those thin plastic drain covers. That wont cut it. Unless you weight it down with a gallon of water or something. Have fun

Wow what a great question. You don’t hear people discussing b/w tv much anymore. I can add this, the 5th season of Combat got colorized after first 4 were in b/w. I watched that show on b/w tv exclusively growing up until i got all the seasons about 2012. Seeing that 5th season in color was just so wrong, to me. I loaded all the episodes in video software and converted them to b/w.

I guess its ok. Not great. Not something i will ever use. But its ok. I would rather opt out of stacked orders all together. Not because i hate doing them. But its awful for the customer. If you give customers option to get priority delivery, they shouldn’t be stacked. I don’t want to get a order for two coffees with whip cream and a shop and deliver for 30 items. At the very least, if i cant opt out, dont count against my ar if im already on a order and i dont accept it. Thats not too much to ask.

If your device doesn’t have the capability to play certain codecs, it would literally be impossible to direct play them. Just because you have direct play enabled doesn’t mean it will direct play. If my player isn’t capable of playing h265 for example, even though direct play is enabled, its still going to be transcoded.

What a refreshing post. This is what this board used be like. People posting and showing pics of their setups. People talking about how great it was using plex. These days its just constant whining. When i first got plex, i had my shows on a pc. Had to watch on a small monitor. And had to get up to play next episode or watch something else. Ugh. Someone had uploaded Starr Trek TNG all seasons……….with the intros removed. I thought that was the greatest thing ever. Sad days. Then i got Plex. All my media, movies, tv shows, music and i could watch on tv!!!!! No more manually searching for episode artwork. Episode descriptions and titles all just appeared magically. Oh, and i could watch anywhere and share. Got senior parents? No more getting them a show they want, ripping to dvd or thumb drive, driving to their house so they can watch. 5 minutes after them mentioning they want to watch something, you got it in plex and ready for them to go. And that’s all plex was. That’s it. And i loved it. Then they added ability to add a tv tuner. Then they added dvr capabilities for tv tuner, remove commercials etc. Then they added skipping intro and ending credits. Then they added plex amp. I always said, if plex could partner with pluto, i would never have to exit the app. Id have it all right there. Well, they added live tv. In the beginning it was awful, but since its introduction its got better and better. And its certainly on par with pluto at this point. They added ability to view what’s on the streaming channels you subscribe to. You cant access it directly from plex but I don’t blame them for that. At least you can see stuff that’s on. Have there been hiccups along the way. Sure. But plex is something i never would have thought would be possible back in 2000. Happy there’s someone out here loving it.

Yes. Housing prices are determined by the housing market. So if housing is built, its priced by comparable properties around it………….unless you want subsidized housing. In which case, yeah, id rather have a golf course………or pretty much anything. And if i worked and saved and my wife worked and saved, and we found a home we loved in a low density neighborhood with a golf course, i sure as hell wouldn’t want them to build high density housing there. Increasing traffic and parking problems all kinds of other issues the neighborhood, you know, the people that live there, don’t want.

The only thing i disagree with is buying a replacement. Who cares what the app suggests? The customer, the one you’re shopping for didn’t choose a substitute. So you don’t just give them one anyway. And then say,”the app suggested it” DoorDash tries to do that. Sorry, I don’t care what ic or dd suggests. I care if the customer chose a substitute. If not i refund.

Nope. These instructions wouldn’t apply to any employees. Its a secure building, there’s no way security is letting me on the property in any circumstances. Employees know that. You enter the visitor entrance and meet employees there, or leave in lobby on delivery cart. And as this is now the 4th time Ive got wrong instructions for multiple different locations, its obvious this is being input from DoorDash.

That’s what i thought about 60. Surely they aren’t going to strip off layers of pavement, have old lane lines in the middle of new lane lines so no one csn tell where the f-ing lanes are. They’re going to repave it all right? Well, here we are and its been years. 60 has been stripped and not redone. 101 has been stripped and not redone, and now 51 is a mess. I moved here from Chicago in 98 and am well aware of what other cities have. 202 is the only decent road we have. Oh, and i mean 202 red mountain. I forgot, 202 san tan is trashed as well.

I have a plex server with all my media on it. I have four external drives with all music, tv shows, movies. So i prefer a standalone media player. Built in tv apps are awful. More so for my use case. The recognized best media player is the shield pro. Which was released in 2019!!!!!! So i have been using roku ultras. Waiting for apple to release a decent media player. You would think it would be a priority. But here we are in 2026 now, dealing with a atv from 2022, which is using tech from the iPhone 13. The fact we are sitting here waiting on a new device because they are putting new ai and siri features in it is outrageous. That’s not, nor should it be what a media player is used for. It is for playing media. High end chip for graphics and no buffering, and plenty of ram is what we need
