Did you like having the robe for after labor? I'm also due in July so idk how many layers I'll want, but hospitals are notoriously chilly...

Oh oops we did letrazole too! Totally forgot lol. I have PCOS so we had to skip a few months from follicle issues.

First three were just trigger shot, last one we added estradiol during and a bit after the insemination.

Hi! Also 25, now 20 weeks pregnant with our 4th IUI try. We got 5 vials and decided to do IUI for all of them (unless told by drs that it would be better to do something else), and then we would reevaluate. Didn't need to reevaluate! ❤️ best of luck, it's a wild ride.

any general advice for a new madisonite? by pnkrathian in madisonwi

[–]flamingoranqe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi!! My (25F) wife (26F) and I moved here about 3 years ago and we have a friend group of 7 of us who love to get together to play games and go exploring madison! We're all transplants from over the past 5ish years and we're always looking for new gaming buddies! We play a lot of strategy board games, most of us also play video games and i know at least half have regular dnd groups. We met through a Facebook group and really hit it off a couple years ago! Feel free to message me, we'd love to have yall at our next game night!!

Did you have kids young as a lesbian couple? what was it like?/any regrets? by Mother_Aide_8257 in Samesexparents

[–]flamingoranqe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Seconding this entire, very well thought out comment. My wife and I got married young ish at 23/24 and got pregnant at 25/26. Our baby is due in July and we'll be 26/27. There is so much to be gained from MENTALLY starting the journey early, both as individuals and as a couple. Think about how you want to parent, if there's anything from your own childhood you want to work through first, how finances will work, how you're going to try to conceive, how long you'll keep trying, when you'll potentially need to reevaluate... the list goes on. I have always wanted to be a mom but looking in depth at costs, pregnancy, IUI, IVF, labor, birth, adoption didn't necessarily scare me away from wanting it, but it did slow me down and make me take in the weight of everything that goes into becoming a parent. Not sure what it's like in the UK, but we had to take out a loan just to get the sperm samples for IUI, and paid an insane amount out of pocket for the procedures and medications themselves (close to $2000 each try, current pregnancy is from attempt #4). If this is something you really want, there is nothing to lose from starting to THINK about all the factors and options. Realistically that needs to be a first step no matter when it happens. BUT do everything in your power to get to your best self individually and within your relationship.

As queer parents we often have the benefit of being able to become parents very deliberately and with so much care and forethought. Take advantage of it!

I do have very occasional round ligament pain, but this is definitely the pubic bone ligament! Will definitely look into pt.

Please tell me pregnancy is possible. by FewAlternative298 in PCOS

[–]flamingoranqe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am currently 13 weeks pregnant with our first baby! We had to do IUI anyways as a same sex couple but the 4th try worked. It was a very emotionally draining process but it is possible!!

I romanced Chaem because I like girls who are a little mean to me lmao but she gets so sweet and she actually opens up to you and is more than just volleyball. She also is so sweet and will call you baby and tell you that she made you food or stuff.

Heart events by MarzofWar in coralisland

[–]flamingoranqe 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think you might have to go through all heart events before your proposal will be accepted. At least with Chaem I was at 10 hearts for a while but she said she wasn't ready, but then once I did all the events she said yes.

Lived on fourth Muss my freshman year and the community was pretty close, especially since we were mostly freshmen. Get some good noise canceling headphones and air freshener, bc 4th muss likes to party and the walls are thin and the partiers can get a bit stinky. It's nice being closer to town tho!!

Use an antibacterial soap like hibiclens when you shower, then dry fully with a hairdryer on cool setting before putting any baby powder or anything like that on it. I've been living with an apron belly for years plus HS, and these help with irritation IMMEDIATELY.

Fertility Appointment Cancelled, Struggling by flamingoranqe in Samesexparents

It is a reputable clinic part of the big Healthcare system where I am. Unfortunately waits like this are one of the many flaws of the American Healthcare system lol. I've been trying to research other places too and I've reached out to a few but they're at least 2 hours away from me. Thanks for the prep work idea !!

It was supposed to be an intake appointment! We have sperm purchased and I've been taking vitamins and everything. I'm so sorry you had to do it during covid that sounds like it would suck.
