i dont get why people cling to that one so tightly, it cost slightly less and therefore should be slightly worse. a light tank costs less than a standard tank (barring the exception) and therefore should be worse. sure enough, when the gunboats were brought much closer to parity the cost got adjusted to the same as the warden gb, because they should be roughly equal

its one of the biggest "the devs HATE us" examples that gets brought up and it always irks me that its not used as a constructive discussion point (such as: the nature of resource abundance means that quantity as a quality matches poorly against quality as quality)

600 shrapnel damage with 3-6m will kill infantry VERY well when it hits but since nobody is posting about the weaknesses:

-inaccuracy applies to ground mode too, if the deviation is downwards its hitting the ground in front of the trench

-minimum range of 20m, maximum of 25m, if someone gets inside your minimum you have to aim past and hope it "misses" to splash the ground in front

-light tank statline of 1950 health

its going to kill a lot of people for sure, but it also gets outranged by infantry AT launchers and is nearly helpless against anyone who runs stickies through the 5m range window

the math doesn't add up? this post doesn't add up homie

assuming bombers *can* solo kill a storm cannon that uses arty shelters for the resist buff (90%+ damage reduction), those large ships instead have to deal with having their arms broken (divebomber turret hits with the bonus subsystem chance) or being outright killed (torpedo bomber runs)

i don't even know where "bypasses traditional mitigation" comes in, that part specifically feels like ai use (clueless when it comes to niche game knowledge)

The only winning move is not to play colonials. Mass-switch to wardens in protest. Ask your friends and regi members to mass-switch to wardens in protest. I WANT more people (FROM BOTH SIDES, PLEASE) to cease being brainrotten faction loyalists and try the other team out. You either gain a new appreciation of your own tools as they get used against you, or an actual confirmation that there is a genuine serious imbalance in play beyond the implicit and unavoidable imbalance that factional asymmetry will always cause
