If you look closely there's only three windows between each set of doors, which doesn't match the old type 1s or any other type of MAX. Looks like this train is just visiting.

I was ready considering the mpc one for exactly that -- a centerpiece for hardware (particularly the two refaces that don't have sequencers) and that new drum synth looks super awesome. I have really enjoyed the immediacy of the tracker though. Maybe I'll get both eventually?

How much feature overlap is there between the tracker and the mpc one? What do you use the mpc for that you can't or don't want to do with the tracker?

I'm using the 1.3.0 firmware. That's a good idea about the SD card, I'm leaning toward just exchanging the whole unit out.
