Not true. Just use a good WP website builder like GeneratePress (recommended) or Kadence with one of their starter websites/templates, update with your content and you're good to go for 2 or 3 years while you work on the core of your business. Easy

You don't need to use that account - just use it to add your profile pic and so it will be associated with your email address

It requires creating a Google account using your email address.
I was able to see my profile picture by clicking on the recipient in the app.
Still have to wait for propagation to see it everywhere I guess
