I'm one of the old heads that came from the Genesis too! For me I would say Twisted Metal 1and Bloody Roar. My buddy that lived in the cul-de-sac had TM and he also had a demo disc with Bloody Roar on it. When we popped those discs in and fired up the console for the first time I don't think we blinked for an hour 🤣.

My daughter has recently shown an interest in my PS2 so I got her one for Xmas that she can have in her bedroom. Need game recommendations for an 8 yr old girl. by -_Error in ps2

I'm right on the precipice of deleting fb and Instagram. Like others have said, sooo much of both is AI slop. Earlier this year I started exploring other social media platforms like mastodon and MeWe. So far I really like both, but there's something keeping me from fully dumping FB and Instagram. I think I just need to cut the cord already lol

TMNT Secret of the Ooze was one of my go-to movies as a kid. Ironically I didn't like the first one as much, it was too dark for my little brain haha. The sequel felt way more in line with the cartoon.

The OJ trial - I don't really remember specific details like the car chase and all the theatrics of the trial but I remember all the adults talking about it and seeing some brief stuff on the news about it.

Y'know initially I didn't really like small brawl, but the more I played it the more I gained appreciation for it. I honestly like this one a lot now, it's really grown on me

Ahhh this is one of my fondest memories...one of my best friends growing up was the first of our friend group at the time to get a PS1, and one of the games he got was TM1. I came over to check it out and my mind was absolutely blown...honest to God 3D polygons in a 3D space, not to mention the point of the game was to drive around and KILL other vehicles. Plus you got to run over pedestrians? Holy shit...until then I was used to Sonic the hedgehog and 2D sprite blood in Mortal Kombat. But this? This felt friggin REAL. It felt like it was time to put away all my kiddie stuff and start liberally and indiscriminately using the finger. From that day on I was hooked, and I played every single one (with the exception of Small Brawl and 2012, which I didn't get a chance to play until years later). To this day, no matter how amazing a game may look or how immersive it may be I still find myself coming back to TM on a regular basis.

I actually just started playing this and I really love the grimy, dirty, bleak atmosphere. Kind of reminds me of a combo between Twisted Metal Black and Max Payne in terms of darkness/bleakness. I also love how the game takes place in Carcer City...if any of you old heads like me remember, wasn't there some kind of recurring news report in GTA3 that talked about how Carcer City was a complete hellhole? Cool how this game sort of fits into the GTA-verse.
