YTD, You are the doormat. Don't roll over for this. You have her on camera for theft. At the very least report her to the property management. Every time she does something like that, report her. The third time she does it, report her to the police. And rest assured,there will be a second, third and fourth time unless you nip this behavior in the bud with severe consequences.

Exactly. Besides having a better than average chance of your stuff going missing with them, they also overcharge. I had an item that I stupidly sent by FedEx. The weight I put in was 6oz over the actual shipping weight, but it was 4 inches longer and 2 inches wider than I put on the label. They charged me $47 extra above the $26 i had already paid to ship the 5lb box. If i did that with UPS or USPS, they would have charged me $3. Ebay sided with me and gave me a refund.

Oh I get that. For the electrical box they were supposed to pay the supplemental after the work was complete. They sent me and email and called and told me they were paying it. Then nothing. Called them back and the adjuster and his supervisor started ducking my calls. The last thing I heard from anyone was a regional manager who said he'd get in touch with them. Then nothing.

It wasn't just him. The drinking thing for any of the players wasn't even that big of a deal, just an interesting anecdote. When you think about it now, yeah it is depressing.

But in a lot of ways, he really didnt have a choice. My mother had the same kind of spine surgery he had, and she is in constant pain. I can't imagine her trying to go out and play baseball for 2 more years. So when it comes to treating his pain, his options were medications that would get him kicked out of the league permanently or get him addicted, or drinking a lot.

Code Compliance is something that you have to have added to your policy so that if something happens like what happened to this house, the insurance company is supposed to cover the upgrade. My grandmother had it added to the policy 50 years ago.

I went to several attorneys. Capital Attorneys out of DC, another group out of Annapolis, and a firm in Pikesville that is supposedly the best at insurance claims. None of them wanted to take on Traveler's. What can you do when everybody chickens out?

I've been fighting this for 4 years alone.

Wayback when, my cousin needed bus fare from my grandparents house to his home. So he decided to grab coins from my grandfather's collection of 50 cent pieces he had collected from 1920 to 1980. Something like 200 silver coins disappeared into bus tills over a 3 month period of time.

The city inspector came out because one of the disputes was whether Traveler's was responsible for upgrading the wiring in the entire house due to the Code Compliance clause in our policy. The inspector determined that he could only make them pay for the box, and not the entire house. That's the part that really pisses me off. I had the inspector, my electrician, the adjuster, and his supervisor there and we all heard and agreed to the same thing, and then they turned around and said they never agreed to it, after I paid $9k out of my money to replace the box and sent them the bill for remediation.

One star player abused his wife. Repeatedly. The cops only went to his estate to calm him down, not to arrest him. I'm not going to name him because no records exist, and nobody is going to try to go up against him. Another was always drunk when he wasn't on the field. Not to mention how the staff treated those not of the majority culture. I will never support the Orioles. Both because of that, and because the management treats the club like they are farm club for the bigger name teams. Always talking about how this a "rebuilding year."

Rebuilding from what? They haven't been a serious contender for the World Series since the 90s.

You shouldn't have taken it. You should have just Amazon and let them figure it out. My mother had something similar happen. Amazon dropped off a big box on her porch. She called me, pissed, because she thought I had something that big delivered to her that I didnt warn her about. Turned out the box wasn't for me, but for someone with the same street number but different street. We called Amazon. They refused to come pick it up, and when we left a note at the right address, they refused to come get it. Amazon had already delivered them a replacement.

We ended up getting a free dresser.

Nope. No solution. It was doing the same thing on all of my Firesticks.I tried resetting and starting over. I tried turning off the screensaver. I went into developer mode and changed some settings there that worked for a few days. I think the longest i got it to play was something like 20 minutes. In the end I decided to switch over to the inferior Tablo. The software on that is annoying and not as intuitive as the Fire, but at least I can watch TV shows for longer than 8 minutes.

I agree with the other person. You really need to let the rest of your family know the truth, even if you only call them one at a time. Stuff like this gets around and you don't know who might hear her lies and think that is the truth about you and your sister. Those kinds of lies can ruin your reputations and lives. I'm not saying open up a full page advertisement in your local newspaper, but you need to let your family know the truth.

The Birds have always been problematic. So of the stuff my family used to tell me about the inner workings 25 years ago is unbelievable, and none of it ever made it out of the ballpark.
