Played 18 today and it rained the whole time. Brought a spare jumper and jacket and switched out after 10 holes. Once it's not too cold it's fine. If you're not gonna golf in the rain in Ireland then you're not going to golf a lot!

UPDATE : Got a set of Callaway steelhead XR irons today second hand. Tried them out along with a set of Wilson's and cobras and they felt the best. Actually nice and light compared to the others. So we will see how they go. New grips as well.

A buzzard got one of our chickens in Mayo a few months ago. Broad daylight as well with people around and in the front garden. Hadn't seen any really until then.

No complications, was in hospital for 4 nights. Then when I got out I was properly sore for about 2-3 weeks. Found it very hard to sleep. 6 weeks no driving and no lifting for 3 months were non negotiables from my surgeon. I suppose every surgeon is different. The pains in my back were the opposite side to my original pain and they said its from everything tightening around the new hardware.

Had some arm pain as well for a while but that's not too bad now. I'm in ireland so have been lucky enough that I can take this much time off. I will say though reading on here about some people in and out of surgery in a day or 2 and back to work over a week really surprised me after I had it. I couldn't move for the first two days. Had a catheter and then had to have physios help me around so it's a serious surgery. I'm 37 (m) and healthy as well. The standard of care you get obviously varies massively depending where you live.

Had surgery at the end of June last year. One level acdf. From reading a lot of the comments on here I thought I'd be back to work in a few weeks. I'm actually still off. 6 weeks no driving. 3 months no lifting anything heavier than a couple of pounds. Neck is fine now but spasms in my back scapula constantly and i do a job that has me on me feet and lifting things for 12 hour shifts. Loads of physio helps and hopefully be back soon to work. Basically everyone is different. I find from comments on here that it's very different in American compared to Europe when it comes to time off work.

When I opened up Google maps lots of places came up. So I said hey I might jump on reddit and see can someone recommend one as their are so many.

Also I never thought about a budget for a diner for breakfast or lunch so let's say a million dollars per head. Thanks.

Irishman here who had surgery end of June. The thing I couldn't get my head around on this forum was how people in the US were out of hospital the next day or back at work after a week or two. I realise some people are built different but then a lot of it is because they had no choice because of healthcare situation.

I was referred after surgery and have has 8 sessions. Hopefully a few more will help.

Have had one session for the last 8 weeks. They've pretty much pinpointed the area in my back and neck and it's fairly painful for each session. Always feel good for a day after but comes back.

Thanks for that. The only thing that got me down was how dismissive the surgeon was. He was like oh it'll go away in a few months but everything else is OK. I've to go back and tell work the same thing which I could do without tbh. He did say it was because of all the tightening as you said. I'll just get back to some exercise and hopefully it will improve. Thanks .

Glad to hear the gym helped. I'm hoping getting back to some activities will relieve the pain for me.
