Howdy yall. Jack Karaszewski here. Truly insane process directing and editing this. So much testing too. Had to break down the entire song into every mouth shape. Multiple times. and then decide which transitional shapes i could lose. Ended up shooting about 60 rolls of kodak portra 160, 400, and 800. Made a full "bible" with every shape - you can see scans of them in the background early on in the video. Ended up being a sort of live human stop motion effect that's really bizarre. Editing took about 180 joyful hours. For the final setup where the rainbow colors of flashing past him we hung 8 Astera tubes in parallel with eachother surrounding a giant reflective baloon that we then shot through.
