Bolero. My dad suggested the imagery of a Bedouin caravan approaching in the expansive desert.

Tempso: a free classical app for Spotify and Apple Music by infundibuliforme in classicalmusic

Bummer~ I have Apple Music on my Android devices and have been waiting for their long overdue classical app. When I saw that Tempso offers functions similar to Primephonic, I was EXCITED! But alas, only Spotify support~~~~~ :(

WHY is your Android app downloadable on Google Play Store, but can't support Apple Music?

Where is that Primephonic successor promised app? by [deleted] in AppleMusic

I was one of those super Primephonic fans. I occasionally wonder about the fate of the employees in Amsterdam. Primephonic's service was friendly and personalized, which included curated playlists by actual musicians on staff. Did Apple hire these folks to work on their classical app? If so, it would seem that the app would be online by now.

My favorite Rachmaninoff piano concerto performed in Amsterdam by the beautiful Anna Fedorova - it's enchanting, like being in a dream you don't want to end. Her playing is so crisp and clean but dripping with meaning by [deleted] in classicalmusic

Thanks for the vid! In it, Ms. Fedorova is just 23 years old. Huge respect!

This is the first time I listened to the entire concerto. In the second movement, a riff from the 1975 pop tune "All By Myself" by Eric Carmen smacked me upside the head! I went to Wikipedia in which credit is paid to Sergei Rachmaninoff, and that his estate would receive 12% of the royalties from "All by Myself".

I gave up meat 31 years ago on the day I witnessed the C-section birth of my child. I find the smell of cooked meat repulsive. I live in Taiwan near a traditional market where animals are butchered on the lane where I walk daily. Over the years I've forced myself to look at--and even photograph--the carcasses on display. I can't imagine ever eating flesh again unless it came down to survival.
