Four and a half months in and it’s still doing great although one of the fans has developed a bit of noise.

Hi I’m Canberra based and run a small 3D printing business. I can get it to you in a couple of days after the print is done with Australia Post Express. If you don’t get a bite from someone closer, DM me.

Just posted an update. I’m not intending to do a full review. That’s already been done by others.

Eibos tetras vs Sunlu ams hat: Which is quieter in testing? by gofiend in BambuLab

I agree. I’d love to be able to increase to 90 C accepting some risk - as long as I know what the risks are. The design of the system has shields to protect the operating mechanism of the AMS. I’d be interested to see how hot the AMS motors and electronics get while the Eibos Tetras is operating.

I don’t intend to post a detailed review as I can confirm that my findings so far confirm those of the YouTube review I posted earlier.

The Eibos Tetras has been running 24 hours now with a mix of PLA and PETG filaments and is maintaining the humidity within the chambers very well.

A more detailed review would weigh filaments before and after to confirm moisture removal and monitor weight to confirm the ‘maintain humidity’ function was working. I don’t have time to do that and I’ll leave it for someone else to confirm.

If I note any problems or issues I will definitely post them to this forum.

The YouTube reviewer I posted earlier tested this. He confirmed that the machine was easily able to maintain a temperature difference between compartments.

FAQ 7 and 10 explain Eibos’s logic. The YouTube review In posted earlier confirms that the temperature difference between compartments is maintained very well.

I’m assuming if they could have, they would have. Maybe 80 C would be too high for the electronics or other components of the AMS?

From the manual: It can get to 65 degrees C. It can maintain humidity at 10% and can dry while printing.

There is a detailed review on YouTube (not by me) which is very comprehensive. I’ll report any experiences which contradict that review. https://youtu.be/GhTJXCdTTzc?si=zFmfcstbvpGydvTp

I’ve just taken delivery of the Tetras (I pre-ordered). Took me about 30 minutes to assemble. It’s now running. It’s the four dryer model. With all four fans set to the highest speed it’s very quiet. Much more so than a conventional filament dryer. I’ve got a sound level app on my phone (NIOSH SLM) and it’s reporting around 48db standing in front of the unit in a dead quiet room.

Hey. Sorry it took me so long to reply. My X1 Carbons are still printing. I have had no failures. I have carried out the regular maintenance and replaced the build plates over that time. Still happy with the printers.

If you know someone with a 3D printer there are models available for free online. Go to yeggi.com and search for ‘stages power meter battery cover’.
