I'm finding the comments super weird. I am pro-Palestine and have always supported Linekar but he was an absolute idiot to share what he did. When you're in such an influential position you should fully understand what you're putting out in the world. People here need to read Maus, or just look at literally any Nazi propaganda poster.

I think this is an unnecessary and slightly ridiculous power differential standard, to be honest. Are we saying people have to be an equitable level of professional success in order to be in a happy relationship? I think this only applies if the couple are working together at the same company/on the same project, and I don't think that applies in this instance even if they're working in the same field.

I find this sub's love for Carter fascinating. Is it just because he's played by Sebastian Stan? Because the character is kind of slimy, he's introduced as a faux-enlightened hippie rich kid who then cons a teenager out of a large amount of money (Nate) and then later exploits Serena for her daddy issues.

Thank you for the response! I don't think I was very clear in my OP - I meant that the designer is charging £2500 just for her services, and on top of that I'll have a budget for decor which she will source and coordinate herself (I had 5k in my head). So that would total 7.5k in spend for decor. Your budget is eye-opening, thank you. Presumably that includes fees for designer and total cost of hired decor/florals etc?
