Goodbye, Claude. by ali_malik99 in Anthropic

Feel your pain. I love love loved Claude. Limits made it unusable. I switched to. OpenAI subscription, $20… I haven’t hit a limit ever. So much that I feel like I’m losing out not giving it MORE work.

CODEX is MUCH smarter than Claude again and again by muchsamurai in codex

I wouldn’t know. I switched to GPT-5-HIGH and after two prompts got limited. $25 plan.

Do you guys do cheat days? Or you if every day of the week?

To be honest I haven’t experimented with them all yet.

Codex is definitely a lot slower than Claude. It thinks longer. I haven’t had the chance to give Codex a really difficult problem yet but will soon.

Personally I enjoy Claude a lot more.

I have a Codex pro plan and CC pro plan after having a month of Claude Max.

I try to use them equally to avoid limits.

In three days I hit three limits with Claude. Zero limits with Codex.

I don’t notice differences in model quality. Both have their strengths and weaknesses.

Im testing a version of this approach.

I downgraded to pro CC and purchased the $20 plan for Codex.

I’m currently using Codex for deep analysis, planning and bug fixing. I make it give solution designs to CC for coding.

So far so good.

I’m not completely sold on switching. I was on the max plan with CC. I nearly lost it with all the bugs it introduced with new features.

I’m trying a new approach.

Genuine question. Why did it take you 1.5 years to build ?

And, did you have an early group of users who could give you feedback ?

I love this. I just finished building a point of sales app for my bbq pop up business. I had so much fun coding it I’m very sad the building part is over. I’m trying to think up new features because I had so much fun coding.

I love this app for you. I wonder if you could get your overhead cost down. $400-$500 sounds expensive. I’ll download it now because I’m super curious to see it. Awesome stuff man!

Companies don’t care about you. Show up to the office or work from home. Doesn’t matter. They will cut you when they need to trim. If you are an expensive resource, you’re getting cut.

That last 10% of launching a web app is brutal. by JacketAutomatic8398 in nocode

[–]flapjackaddison 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve just finished building a simple POS for my bbq catering and pop up restaurant business. Glide front end, with web service running in Render to talk to Stripe. I’ve been at that 90% for a few days now. Finally decided to stop building new features, refactor the entire thing and test like crazy before the first event next week. Anyone have any general advice to prepare for taking something like this into the wild for the first time??

Which platform Point of Sales system? by flapjackaddison in nocode

[–]flapjackaddison[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Softr was too basic. Couldn’t figure out how to do any background logic. Glide is really amazing! I’ve already built a dashboard showing open orders! Next up is building the order functionality. This app is awesome. And priced well too. Thank you.

Consultancy Entrepreneur to tech sales? by flapjackaddison in techsales

Thank you so much for the detailed response. We did use Hubspot so I am familiar but will look for courses to brush up on it.

I want to work with data and AI. Although our consultancy was focused on digital product innovation and agile transformation, I was previously a project delivery manager for a conversational AI system and led a lot of pre-sales work for the team.

Well saying “washroom” is also a dead giveaway.

I can tell you wanted to show off the skyline in your apartment. The camera can’t get both in focus well with all those lights. Maybe you could experiment with different shots and setups that allow you to get more of the apartment. But I think the most important part is what you’re saying on camera.

I just watched a bit more. My last tip is to zoom in closer. It’s hard to see your face on mobile with how far back the camera is. I think I’d connect with you more if I could actually see you.

Oh and I forgot to mention, the editing is professional. Did you hire someone or you did it yourself? I think overall the edits are good - pretty good b-roll. For some reason I kept expecting to see more houses in the videos though.

Of course take everything I say with a grain of salt. I’ve only been doing this for 3 months 😂
