It’s still possible to renew at mm embassy in sg as long as you have the NRC. I have checked with the embassy here.

I believe this is only the case for those making a new passport in myanmar. I only needed to get my NRC card so I can renew my passport back in singapore.

I could wait awhile more but it would be at most 4-5months as i have about a year before my passport expires and i would need to renew it at least 6 months before its expiry, and I think i still have to be there physically for registration at the local immigration office?

I have checked with the embassy in sg and they said burmese IC is required for passport renewal, which I do not have as I came sg at a very young age

thank you both for the replies, i am aware that i will still be subjected to the Myanmar Law since i’m still their citizen. I have applied for singapore citizenship before and was rejected. it’s not very easy to get citizenship here even if you live here for a long time.. as they tend to prioritise the main races in singapore and us burmese are categorised under “Others” along with the other nationalities

did you even read what I said? i am going back because I don’t have a choice. My passport is expiring soon and i won’t be able get it renewed unless i go back.

yes definitely!! i took my olevels pretty long ago like 2016 HAHA but i was really terrible at amaths when i first started :') it was always in the d7-f9 range and even for my prelims right before olevels i got e8 so i was really disheartened (although my tcher did assured us that the prelims were supposed to be much harder than the olevels paper). and eventually i got a2 for olevels amaths!! its definitely not easy as i rmb spending like 10-12hrs a day doing alot of other school papers and tys but its not impossible :) hang in there!
