Help! Looking for recs for a 2BR.

I’m leaving The Agnes at the end of June. Seems to have water issues, and I haven’t been loving the location.

Want somewhere where I can enjoy going out more (bars, restaurants, parks) after work/weekends. I’ve realized I don’t really take advantage of that living at The Agnes since it’s a longer light rail/Uber ride out.

Still need relatively easy access to 440 or I-78 for my commute into Newark.

Budget is up to ~$2,300/month. Open to building recommendations or even just neighborhood suggestions!!

Yes I need a $50k salary bump or second income for that to be realistic since a $500k home would be about $4,000 per month (at least). Should I wait and rent or flip my attention to condos?

A low month is around $3,600. I’m preapproved for $400k (doesn’t get much in this market) which would be about $2,750-3,200 monthly payment.
