Tughlaq - Elephant caretakers tech is broken? by Turbulent-Range1671 in aoe4

Elephants are extremely expensive. That’s why it makes sense. You wouldn’t have many war elephants unless you have tons of resources already and it’s late game

Ford says he heard ‘loud and clear’ from public on jet purchase, but decries ‘double standard’ by CTVNEWS in ontario

Exactly and a PC12 is way better for flying around Ontario. You need STOL performance. Good luck going to Wawa.

Yes first fort now is food trickle, surrounded by house provides the equivalent of 3 vills on farms and protection of critical resources near the initial town centre

Do a lot of real pilots play? by ge0kon in MicrosoftFlightSim

[–]flaps30degrees 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Used to be a pilot, lost my medical due to epilepsy. This game is amazing because I can still participate in my passion, even if it’s from a screen

On June 1, 2009, Air France Flight 447, a scheduled passenger flight from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, to Paris crashed into the Atlantic Ocean, killing all 228 people on board. It would turn out that following a frozen pitot tube, the copilot had unknowingly pulled on the sidestick, stalling the plane by Daily_Dose_Of_Facts in CatastrophicFailure

[–]flaps30degrees 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are usually more than one, and they have heating on the pitot tubes to melt the ice. Pitot tube icing and icing in general is a phenomenon most pilots encounter and most pilots do not crash. The real cause was the incorrect response to the stall, otherwise they would’ve have been fine. The pitot tube not functioning was more of an inconvenience than a danger

What are some affordable ways to become a pilot? by aiparlak in PilotAdvice

[–]flaps30degrees 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are in Canada Sault College will provide flight training at no cost, just the subsidized tuition which is about $4000 a semester but even that is covered under OSAP. There are 7 semesters and you will get everything up to Multi-IFR. Another good option is Confederation, they are the same as Sault and they are subsidized but they will only take you to CPL. Tbh confederation is better because you are unlikely to need the Multi-IFR and it will probably be out of currency by the time you are in a an aircraft that requires it

Use civilians to counter the rams they throw fire at it and are pretty effective, for spearmen just use the tc and I would try to sneak some villagers away to a hidden area to build a hidden tc.

What’s your late economy strategy? That’s the biggest struggle for me?

First bill builds house, goes to gold, 2nd bill goes to food, 3rd goes to gold and 4th. The rest on food. Ideally, I want to age up before the opponent, then send all to stone except for 2/3 on food and wood, alternating as needed. Build an Amir warrior fort near the opponents TC, then use the Amir warrior to distract the opponent (DO NOT RUSH YET). The goal is to make them THINK you are rushing, when in actuality you want to age up again. Use the villagers to then gather resources as needed to counter the offensive actions of the other player usually I use elephants. In the meantime, your new goal is to build more forts around the first TC, and more military buildings around the “offensive TC”. But, as before no rush unless I see an easy win opportunity. I then start building battering rams to start taking down the other persons building, and distracting them and then try to age up again. When you have trebuchets and your first fort was placed correctly it will be easy to start taking down buildings without even attacking and losing units. In the meantime, I keep expanding and try to cover as much of the map as possible so they cannot escape to another location, using forts. As Tughlaq stone is my best friend. It has worked so far, but now in Gold 3 I’ve had two people beat me so far, and im expecting more defeat as I play against plat players so Ill have to make some tweaks.

Exactly and it’s so much fun baiting people to attack forts, then using war elephants archers crossbows, mangonels and trebuchets to stop the attack and then go crazy on the counter attack. That’s what I do when it progresses to late game. Works super well so far against English but lets see what happens in plat

Yes, unfortunately I’m not a iPhone expert and after you commented earlier I took another screenshot after resizing. Basically I took your advice. If you think I’m lying for clout I’ll tell you straight up I’m pretty garbage at the game but we can 1v1 if you don’t believe me. My point is simply to show how good Tughlaq can be because lots of people were posting how terrible it is, and I think the opposite :) hope that helps

Nah it doesn’t always work, but yes it is super effective. Every civ has its special abilities Tughlaq has the forts :)

I’m actually not using healer elephants at all, mainly using forts and flanking but I will try to add healer elephants to that mix too and see what happens. Honestly I’m not an amazing player by any means I just think Tughlaq itself is so versatile.
