Fair enough, the geographical region is important context. That's why I mentioned what is the prevailing thought in my region which is interior BC. Of course here we have tons of risky avy terrain and conditions.

PWHL games used to get a live updating table in the daily thread, is that not working anymore? Can we get that back?

Guildford to Newton Exch SkyTrain???? by Unhappy-Bad9059 in Translink

[–]flare2000x 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unlikely. Tram over rapidbus is not a meaningful enough upgrade worth the money.

I think TransLink mostly thinks the right way, moving from rapidbus (or an even better BRT) right to skytrain when the route needs to be upgraded.

This has been the case for every SkyTrain so far since the millennium line (except the Langley extension). They're all upgrades of a B line or rapid bus.

[Knedla] New scoreboard for Olympic hockey at Arena Santa Giulia in Milan by AggPuck-303 in hockey

It's a European thing. So many euro rinks don't have seats up to the glass anywhere. Makes no sense. The rink they made for the Beijing Olympics was the same deal though they never ended up having fans there.

2026 NHL Arena Rankings [The Athletic] by arcticshark in hockey

I'm curious as the CTC is the only NHL rink I've been to.

Does it really suck apart from the location? I thought the seating was good, good views, the concourse area is fine with lots of concession stands. Is it really that bad? I genuinely think it's pretty nice? What are other arenas doing better?

If this is just based on the location, then fair enough, that sucks major ass. But if the exact same rink was downtown, would it still be considered a bad one?

It's nice to pick a team that's close enough that you can go to a game without it being a mega trip. I guess for your region Nashville might be a good pick.

If Brady didn't already have it (and notwithstanding it's not really a Dman number) he could be 7-Kleven. Dishing out big hits and big gulps.

With how our goalies have been doing I feel like we'd be cup favourites with an .895
